So I use Head&Shoulders Classic Clean (no conditioner) shampoo as, not only does it not seem to break me out like most shampoos, but it seems to dramatically help with my acne. I really can't go a day without it or I break out horribly.
Unfortunately I've found that going without it seems to really, really reduce my oily appearance.
What I've started trying to do is giving my skin the absolute max amount of time to "recover" from the shampoo. I used to shower before bed and rinse my face while showering. Now I've rearranged my schedule to rinse with shampoo several hours earlier to give my skin about 6 more hours to recover.
The result is that my skin is quite a bit less shiny/oily. Although it's still not great.
What could the shampoo be doing that makes my skin look so much oilier? What can I do to minimize that effect or even entirely prevent or cure it?

I had the same problems and was getting acne or bumps on my scalp although hidden by hair they still hurt I tried several shampoos and finally one the helps with my oily head/hair and neck is called Avalon Organics Peppermint. I think any Peppermint shampoo would work.
