Hi girls,
anyone just switch to Zarah??? I've been on Ocella for 2+ years (the generic for Yasmin) and it was great for my skin, but this month the pharmacy gave me Zarah because this is the new generic. Now I am starting to break out again! I'm going to wait it out for at least a month and see what happens, but this is so frustrating! Anyone else have the same problem?

I was on Ocella also for 2 yrs and it worked wonderful. Then they switched me to Zarah because it was supposed to be the same thing. Boy were they wrong!
My acne got worse and I had terrible mood swings. I actually got depressed and suicidal. I thought at first I was crazy, but then read on different forums that I was not alone with this. I stopped the pill recently and refuse to use it. I will find something that works that doesn't make me a psycho person and something that will actually help my acne.

I read that the absorption rate is different with Zarah and that it absorbs faster. I'm not sure how it effects acne but that could explain why I had the major mood swings.
I really hope you find something that works for you. It is horrible enough dealing with acne as an adult.

I was on Ocella for about a year before it switched to Zarah and I haven't noticed any changes.
