I am starting to notice some hairloss, I'm not liking that. I think I'm going to try to get off the meds at 3 or 4 months, just in case the hairloss is a problem. I've read that in some cases it could be permanent. Also my ends are soooooo dry. I'm trying not to wash it until the weekend, and I'm trying not to use the curling iron.
Courtney...this is going to be a wild ride. Keep me updated girlie:)

It's crazy! I now have two bumps under my jawline. So that's four new spots in a day. My vision is back to normal tonight but we will see. My eyes aren't dry at all but i did get some visine just incase. I'm glad that it's happening fast so i can heal sooner than later. I hope i don't lose any of my hair. I have been growing it out forever and would be devastated. Today in the shower i washed my hair with only conditioner and used cold water to seal the hair cuticle. My hair is still oily but i'm taking precaution. It's almost midnight where i'm at so day 5 here i come!

I didn't think i would update until i hit my one week mark but something weird happened last night. I was watching tv at night and i couldn't read some words on the screen properly. They were all blurred. I wear glasses because i'm near sited and i wear them when i'm watching tv, in class, driving, and reading. It was as if i wasn't wearing my glasses. It freaked me out. I'm not sure if it's the Accutane because it was only day 3 or that i was tired.
I also have a huge whitehead on my chin and on my right cheek. It's raised and inflamed. I touched it and it's very sore. My skin is a little drier but mostly on my cysts and my other breakouts. My lips are not chapped or cracking but they are SLIGHTLY drier than normal. Dr. Dans Cortibalm is amazing. I'm constantly applying it. It's the first thing i do in the morning. I keep one on the pillow next to me, in my bathroom, and in my purse. $10 on Amazing for 3! Get some
My 4 spots i have on my chest are drying up which is very new to me because no matter what i put on my chest in the past wasn't doing anything. Accutane is fast. I didn't think i would be experiencing even the slightest effects in only 4 days. I'm happy though. My mood hasn't changed. I feel like the Accutane has increased my happiness. Maybe not directly but knowing that i finally have it and it's going to do wonders makes me excited. I hope that doesn't change.
I will still update when i hit my one week mark with pictures. Thanks for the support <3
-Courtney
The blurriness has been happening to me to if i'm looking at the computer screen too long. I wear contacts, but it never happened before accutane. I agree that it's dry eyes.

My acne seems to look better and the inflammation has gone down so much. I don't think this will last though because it seems that everyones skin gets worse before it's better and it wouldn't make sense to me if it just got better. The skin on my chest and back was completely clear last night before i went to sleep but when i woke up this morning i had blackheads that i could see without really trying to look. Accutane is really pushing EVERYTHING out. The skin on my face is drier but the products i've been using have been lovely. My lips are tolerable and have barely changed but Dr. Dans Cortibalm may be the reason for that. Has anyone experienced a weird battery acid taste in their mouth since taking Accutane? I get it on and off. Strange. The blackheads on my nose and chin are more prominent so i think they will be getting pushed out more and more as the days go by. I could never get rid of my blackheads so that would be awesome! I have been getting tiny headaches everyday that go away within an hour and i slept FOREVER the other day. I felt so exhausted. Despite everything, i'm so happy that stuff is happening so fast! This means i can heal faster, possibly?
Tomorrow will be one week :] Pictures and update tomorrow.
ps; Claravis, why must you be so difficult to get out of your packaging? >.<

I'm so glad your acne is drying up! I think for some people it does just get better. That definitely happened with me. I'm getting a few here in there, but nothing like before. And the drying for me is not even a crusty dry, just, my skin is very matte, and my lips are sooo much better.
I'm not sure what the battery taste is. I know when i do detox diets, I get a metal taste. And I had my first headache yesterday, that even advil didn't cure, not fun.
There was this chick on utube, I wish i had kept the address who talked about her experience on accutane when she was your age. She went on and on about how much she loved her skin, and I couldnt believe how gorgeous it was. That's going to be you making that video some day!
Can't wait to see your new pics!

yeah, i found the first few weeks on accutane kinda tough....a sort of general 'inflamed' feeling about my skin...hang in there! It'll soon get better.

I've destroyed the packaging LOL. My skin looks so good compared to day 1! It's just red and drier. I've gotten a couple pimples on my hairline but they aren't noticeable at all. I think i know who you're talking about because i'm such a Youtube addict. I love watching makeup gurus and accutane vlogs. I'm about to upload my Day 7 pictures/post now

My skin is looking great compared to day 1 so be sure to compare the pictures
By the way, ignore the weirdness on my eyebrows. I was in the process of dying them dark brown so it would look nice with my black hair.

Thank you so much! My skin looks even better today :] I'm so happy. I hope it keeps getting better because i have been waiting for my IB and i can't really say my skin has been getting worse yet. I'm not sure if the Doxycycline helped because i know that crap broke me out badddd. That'd be awesome if you uploaded some progress pics
Accutane = love

It's been 2 weeks so far! I apologize for no updates. This week has been very busy and i've been sleeping every chance i get. My face is looking great! I just have a couple spots on my hairline and it's my skin is a tiny bit red. It isn't dry but i think the products i've been using have been a huge help. My night vision is a little off and i didn't realize it till i drove to a friends house the other night. I wear glasses when i drive and i see the signs/road very well but the traffic lights seem a little sporadic? I doubt that's the right word to describe how it looks but it's spread out like fireworks. Not blurry at all. My doctor said since my vision is already bad then i would most likely be experiencing these effects and my night vision would go back to normal after i'm off of the medication. My headaches have been occuring a lot less now that i'm drinking A LOT of water. The inside of my nose is dry but i've been putting this Rhinaris lubricating nasal gel on in the morning and night and it helps tremendously. My chest isn't as clear as i want it to be but i think it will be okay in a few weeks. It's just blotchy and the texture feels weird. It's the blackheads coming out. Gross
Pictures will be put up tomorrow. My memory card is full and i'm honestly to lazy right now to empty it and take a picture >.< So far, so good.
<33 I really hope everyone is doing okay.
2 WEEK PICTURE LINK
I look beeeeat xD This was taken early in the morning yesterday. Acne.org won't let me upload pictures because it says the file is to big which is strange because previous photos were a lot larger. Here is a link! What an improvement

Time does go by so fast. I can't believe it's been 2 weeks! Ugh i know how you feel when it comes to texture. My face is almost completely clear but the feel of it is so weird. My chest is like that too. It's a shame it's not clearing up as fast as my face has. I think night vision problems are common so i'm not THAT worried about it. We do shed about 300 hairs a day...i think? Don't quote me on that
ps;; I bought Estee Lauders Double Wear Foundation so i'll be sure to let you know how i like it :]

Do let me know if you find a good makeup. I haven't. Just still using my benefit playstick in spin the bottle....on spots only...and throb blush.
My Derm asked me if I wanted to bump up to 60 mg... I wasn't sure what to do, so I kept it at 40. Let me know what your Derm says.

Thank you so much. Lol, i've heard that i look like her before. I'm so happy you love the Paul Mitchell stuff :] My scalp was sooo itchy the other night and the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil Shampoo cooled it down. I love the moisture spray and the strength spray. I know i have to get my blood taken probably around the 25th of April so i'll let you know what my doctor says. If your Derm thinks it's okay to go up to 60mg then maybe you should try it. I think you could always go back to 40 if you feel uncomfortable.
The Double Wear Foundation is AWESOME. I didn't set it with powder and it lasted so well. A little goes such a long way and the coverage is amazing. My color is Linen if you wanted something to go by. I hope you check it out :] The only complaint i have is that it doesn't come with a pump. I wouldn't mind it with other foundations but since this one is on the thicker side, it doesn't pour out. MAC's foundation pumps fit on the double wear and are only $6 so i'll be picking one up :]

Pictures will be coming soon. I left my camera at a friends house. Now on with the update! My skin has been getting better and better. I have never seen my face this clear! *knocks on wood* My chest has improved immensly but i have some red spots. I'm not to worried about it because i'm happy that the texture is smooth. My back has only two spots that turned into scabs and are healing quickly. So far, so good. My headaches have gone down now that i've been drinking coconut water and regular water religiously. I changed my eating habits too which was difficult because i'm a huge foody

Wanted to let you know my hair isn't shedding anymore...thank god. But, it's sooo different, just like your saying. It just never gets dirty, and I love freshly washed hair, but I can't wash it, too dry. My new discovery is Velcro rollers, no heat, healthy, and my hair looks amazing. I set it day after day, jump in the shower, and then gently blowdry when i get out.
I am still breaking out, a few at a time though, and I just leave it. I try not to worry about it. And, my lips did that weird thing again yesterday...blistery rash, red patches, then shedding. It happened right after I applied lipstick. I thought I was safe to use lipstick again, but no. I guess it's part of the accutane course for me. But it only lasts one day, and then I have fresh pink lips again. Soooooo weird. Well hopefully your getting excited for prom....keep eating well, that's probably part of the reason your clearing so well!

Thanks Susie! Before i get into anything, i wanted to tell you about my Mystic Tan that i got today :] I LOVE it. I went in thinking i was going to get the light formulation but she suggested i get the medium and i'm so glad i did. It came out beautifully. I know they said not to moisturize any area of your body but i only did my face. I couldn't risk orange dry spots. I exfoliated my body with sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and honey 3 hours before i went. I also shaved my legs and what not. I also put a good layer of vaseline on my lips to insure it didn't get a weird color. Anyways, my body looks so even now. The red spots i had on my back are now brown which i personally don't mind. I'd rather have brown spots than red ones. Next time i was told to get the light formulation so i wouldn't look over the top. My tan developed in 12 hours and will be at it's full color in 24 hours. They say you can shower 4 to 6 hours after your tan but i decided not to.
Tips:
Masking tape! I highly suggest putting masking tape on the bottom of your feet and the cream they give you on the top of your feet/nails. The masking tape saved my feet from getting that stain that's a pain in the you know what to get off.
Slather your hands in the cream they give you. The girl said a thin layer but i glopped it on instead and my hands look absolutely fine.
Moisturize after 2 hours. I felt so much better when i was able to moisturize.
SKIN: I feel a deep pimple under my jawline but i'm not worried about it because the Mario Badescu Drying Cream seems to get them before they develop. My lips have been a little dry but the cortibalm never lets me down. I'm putting eye drops in more often and they feel like a nightmare when i first wake up in the morning. I'm so sorry to hear about your lips going crazy. It sounds like an odd fluke though since they went back to normal. I hope you're doing well
