I just realised, the webcam really does not show the extent of the acne on my face - I have a lot more red, raised lumps than this shows. I really need to pull my finger out, and charge my actual camera. tongue.gif

Haha I was thinking, wow, it really doesn't look that bad at all! You are still brave though, for posting pictures of yourself. I don't know if I can. Hope it's going well for you. I start my treatment in 1 week! Scared. Is your face really dry at the moment? And are you fidning it hard to combat that with products that moisturise? I am wondering what products I will use, probably just Cetaphil because it's so gentle, and I don't want to exascerbate the redness I will probably experience from Accutane. Good luck Bella! You're very pretty by the way. Oh and do you have a problem with red marks after pimples go away?I do,and sometimes I think it looks worse than when I had the pimple, and the way they take so long to fade! ARGH!

Hey Niladmirari smile.gif Haha, I know that's what I was thinking, but it really is so much worse than that in reality tongue.gif Ahh! You'll be fine on the treatment I'm sure, and I hope you get the desired results - make sure to keep a log s I can follow your progress! Yeah, my face is very dry at the moment, I find that moisturiser only does so much to help me, it just relieves that tight feeling that you get with the dryness, mine still flakes quite a bit. Ohhhh yeah, I get the red marked pigmentation after I get spots - sticks around for a long time, and kind of turns purple when it starts to go - which does not pleasant at all, but at least I know they'll fade. smile.gif

Keep strong! Also, I wouldn't ever usually post pictures anywhere, but the people here made me feel so comfortable and have been so supportive to me, so I felt like I should to show how I'm getting on. smile.gif

Hey Bella, just dropping by to check on your progress. The dryness is good. My skin is getting dry and peeling also. Good thing is my oil production has stopped completely and my pores are getting smaller. I'm in month 2 now so lets keep going with this fight against acne!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have not posted in such a long time, I've had serious problems with my internet, but now it's all fixed, so hoorah! smile.gif

Starting my third month: NEARLY HALF WAY!

Well, last tuesday - the 15th March I had my third meeting with the dermatologist to get my third month of Roaccutane, so happy - he's keeping me on the three tablets a day for the rest of the course I believe. He told me that it seemed to him that my acne was beginning to change already

My skin has been a bit bad recently, not so much the spots or the dryness, but just the peeling of large bits of skin from my cheeks, chin and occasionally the forehead - it leaves annoying strips of painful skin which ooze slightly if you touch them, or even when I try to moisturise! Hurts so much. Anyway, on a lighter note my pores have literally shrunk, almost non-existent! It's quite amazing really, as I used to have really large pores on my nose and along my cheeks just under my eyes - and now... hardly anything! My nose feels how it used to feel, so smooth! biggrin.gif

I have to brace myself this month, I have so much stress coming my way with exams and what not - I'm looking into techniques to try and de-stress myself, and I am trying to be good with food.. it's so hard though, I'm such a pig; but I want to try and get in shape for Summer and a festival I'm going to - that will also benefit my skin!

So here, I am going to ask you guys for some help - I want to start drinking smoothies or something, I bought myself a book but they all seem to contain a lot of fruit, and I really do not like fruit that much at all.. I'm more of a vegetable girl. I can handle apples, watermelon... and.. hahahaha, probably not much else. Although, if you have any recipes that use other fruits but don't have a weird bitty or seedy texture.. I would love to know. Seeing as the texture of food puts me off a lot too.. yes I know, it's strange.

sevin_nye - It's all going well so far, how's yours? And I don't think I have that here in the UK... I'll have to try and find something else to slap on my lips! biggrin.gif

operationsmoothskin - Oh good! Glad to hear someone else is having the weird peeling too, the dryness to be honest is the only thing that lets me know that these tablets are doing something in my body, which makes me excited! biggrin.gif We're around the same mark kind of, so yeah, lets fight this acne wahoo! biggrin.gif xx

Of another thing, i forgot to say. Do you drink alot of milk and eat dairy products? I noticed that everytime I drink milk i get the cysts. Its something to do with the hormones in the milk because it comes from pregger cows. Just thought i'd mention since our acne is similar. I gave up dairy awhile ago because i knew my acne got really bad from it. So thinking accutane will help, I had alot of icecream last week and had 4 cysts develop on my cheeks even being on accutane. Wrong no more dairy for me!

Good luck!

iceez - Ahhh, I only usually drink milk with my breakie - or when I'm actually taking my pills at night - as I usually forget to take them with my meal. I'm awful with remembering to take them, have not missed a day yet, but I've taken them at a bit squiffy times.. haha.

My dosage at the moment is 80 i believe, 3 tablets? Haha! I love accutane too! We're going to have baby-butt smooth skin, my nose is already on the right track biggrin.gif

Also, I lol'd so hard at ' milk because it comes from pregger cows.' hahahaha grinwink.gif

You got a blog? x

Hey, No i dont have a blog, I dont have the patience to write one. And I cant write a flowery, pretty blog at all. LOLS and its too late to start a blog for me.
Try giving up the milk altogether. Cause even when i have some cereal with fat free milk, BAMM a few cysts popped up. Annoying cause i have to eat cereal dry now sad.gif(((((((((((. But its okay eusa_shifty.gif

Do you use makeup?? I have to cause i gotta go to office everyday. But if you use MAC, I would suggest not using it, cause it made my face soo bad. Maybe I was allergic to it. But i know that before using mac my face was clear (maybe a pimple or two around the period time), and then slowly starting getting pimples. and then continous use of mac everyday made it so bad! Just a suggestion. Oh and at that time when i started using mac, I lived on campus and didnt drink milk. Just to clear any confusion with that regards.

Okay, Happy blogging!!
