Okay, I want to first start off my saying I am not working for Acnescript or trying to sell people their products, but I would not feel right sharing what has helped my with my oily skin issues.

I have had a problem with oily shiny skin for about 3 years now. I would wake up, wash my face, and about 5 hours later I could wipe my tzone with my finger (only if it was clean) and it would be covered in face oil crap. This problem only got worse in the summer. I felt like there was no hope, i just had to ride out the storm. I did a lot of research, blotted a lot, but nothing helped.

I first read about Acnescript under one of the Acne.org users Regimen's. I checked out the website and decided to give the free sample a go (it was only 8 bucks with shipping, why not)
I ordered the Acnescript Oily Skin pills and gave them a try.

15 days later, MY OILY SKIN WAS CURED!! smile.gif No more oily skin! It was honestly such an amazing feeling. Even late at night, after not washing all day and being in class, my skin was not oily!
I definitely recommend this product to anyone who hates their oily complexion.

Hope this helps smile.gif

Awesome, another acnescript user! I ordered the oily formula recently, and even the regular formula helped a lot, but my face is still somewhat oily throughout the day. I notice when I use it, my actives heal MUCH faster than without the acnescript. For all the stuff that it has in there, it's actually pretty cheap too. Buying beta glucans separately alone can cost around 20-40 bucks. I've tried a lot of supplements, and I definitely have to say in terms of pure acne treatment, and oil control, acnescript is by far my favorite.

I most certainly agree! My face skill has a little bit of shine to it but not nearly as bad as before and not really noticeable.

I'm glad it helped you too smile.gif I actually forgot to even mention how its helped with my actual acne hahaha.

That's great that it helped with the acne too wink.gif

Yeah, I was extremely skeptical at first, but it's definitely worth it! I've had a friend order their trial, so I'm curious to see if it helps with him, he mostly has non inflamed acne. They restocked their supply of regular formulas (they had a shortage or something?), so that's good. It's been 5 days without acnescript, and my skin has slowly been breaking out more, but most of the other supplements have been helping my skin stay somewhat clear. Can't wait for my order to come in :l

I heard they had a shortage too! I think they did. ANd I completely lucked out because my order came on my last day of my free trial! I think if you do to your local grocery store you can pick up some vitamin b5 - b5 - zinc oxide - and garlic to mimic Acnescript. That was my back up plan if it didn't come.

So if this is helping, does that mean we've had a vitamin b5 - b6 deficiency?

Well, I have NO idea what beta glucans do, and I know b5 and b6 are used on their own for hair/skin health, and the piperine enhances the absorption of tumeric/curcumin as well as other stuff. I have garlic, ginger, curcumin, zinc, and lots of other stuff, and the acnescript is the only thing for me that effectively treats my acne. The guggul all on it's own helped greatly with cystic acne for sure. But I do think the stuff on it's own helped, but acnescript has all this great stuff in one product that works together synergistically and treats the acne on a lot of different levels, it has antibacterial/antinflammitories, and reduces oil production. wub.gif

Im so jealous that it worked for you guys. I stuck it out for 2 weeks and ended up breaking out really bad on my right cheek in 2 big cysts that now has left a big ass indented and pigmented scar. I did notice and oil reduction slightly but I was still oily. It also left me with a death like appearance to my face. I dont know how to explain it.

I'm sorry frannymae :[

The only thing I can think of is the B vitamins, some people get cystic acne from them, which I did when I took a B complex, but acnescript seems to do good stuff for my skin. That's strange that it also changed the healthiness of your skin, I guess acnescript isn't a cure all, I had high hopes for it :/

I do hope that you find something that works for you soon though!

Y'alls posts encouraged me to order two months worth of samples of this stuff today to try. If it reduces my oiliness even just partially with no crazy side effects, I will be quite happy.

Good luck amethyst!

You can see the reviews from other acne.org members here to help you decide. Their boosters are great for cystic acne, and it really accelerates the healing of my own lesions. It can seem a bit expensive, but if you try and buy all the stuff seperately, you'll be paying 2 to 3 times as much, so it's worth it imo! Best of luck to ya!

You don't drink it, it's pills. Honestly, when you stop taking it you'll probably go back to breaking out, not 100% sure though. It's more of a nice supplement blend that works well with continual use, in 1 pill. You'll probably start by taking 4 a day though. No side effects noticeable but do take with food because it contains Zinc.

They have a blog post of someone who stopped using it and their acne stayed in remission, but who knows. In my first 2 weeks of using it, I ran out of it waiting for a new shipment to come (they're horrible at shipping on time currently, so plan 2 weeks ahead at least), and I began to break out again. You could eventually try lowering the dosage, but if you're using it for hormonally related acne, it probably will come back.

I have T zone acne and very oily skin confused.gif The problem is that i wanna try this supplement firstly, and now I realise that they're really horrible at shipping. So I will have problems using it coherently... I ordered Acnescript with some boosters (Pure Curcumin and Pure Guggul). They recommend to take 2 pills twice a day plus supplements Pure Curcurim and Pure Guggul one or two pills twice a day. So it's a big number of pills i think. How to take it? One Acnescript pill and pure Curcumin in the morning and one Acnescript pill and Pure Guggul in the evening?
Also Im on Dan's regimen for two years now..

Hey Sad_One!

Just make sure you give two weeks or so for things to process and all that. If you can, buy a bottle to keep in the fridge while you wait for new orders, that's what I do now. Curcumin and Guggul help with inflammation and acne, I'm not so sure about oiliness. Because of their modifications or something like that, they now ship out B5 for oily formula orders. GLA is another thing that reduces oil, I haven't had a chance to use their's but in my experience GLA works great at reducing oil (you can see in my log).

Just wanted to report that I ordered my AcneScript trial on Jan. 29 like I posted above and finally received it this past Wednesday on Feb 23. So it took almost a month. Anyway, I waited until this morning, Saturday, to take my first dose in case there are side effects like nausea. So far I feel ok.

It will be so awesome if this stuff reduces my oil which should help reduce my breakouts. I'm going to be kind of bummed though if it always takes this long to get an order if this works for me. I guess if I see significant improvement over the next few days I will have to place another order almost immediately so I don't run out or go too long without it.

I'm interested in GLA, but how do you know it's the GLA that reduced your oil production? You seem to be taking a lot of other supplements. And how much of a difference did you see?
