I may be going over to the dark side..
I never tried BM (or BE) before because I was scared of bismuth oxychloride due to the horror stories I heard 'round these parts; plus, they did not seem to have colors to suit my fair, olive skin tone. However, the matte formula does not contain the bismuth, and I prefer non-sheen anyway (my oily skin makes its own sheen...). They also have "golden" colors available now for yellow-olive skin tones, which might suit me. The nice part is I can head over to my local mall to try it out instead of waiting for samples to arrive via snail mail.
Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide. Inactive Ingredients: Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Calcium Silicate, Soil Minerals. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides
Anyway, any comments on the matte formula and the golden shades?

I would be really interested in trying this out. I used to use the regular bare minerals foundation and I really liked it but I felt that it was breaking me out. I am very interested to try this matte version though. I used to wear the fairly light color and loved it. I think it covers really really well esp acne scars and redness.

I use their matte formula. It doesn't break me out, and it covers very well

I stopped using it for awhile because I was using Smashbox Halo. I went back and I think it made my skin worse. I never believed the negative hype about BE until now! Lol. Matte is ok, it's not AS easy to work with as the original formula but it's worth a try. But if you notice enlarged pores and little bumps stop using it before it gets worse!

Thanks for the feedback!

I've been using BM Matte since Dec now and I love it. It never breaks me out and is one of the only foundations that can last all day on my oily skin.

I crossed over! The Golden Fair color is a great match for me. For Everyday Minerals users, it's similar to the now discontinued Sweet Almond in terms of depth & tone (good for fair/light skin with olive/golden undertones).
The matte formula ingredients is very similar to EM's intensive, as both contain Lauroyl Lysine now (which I've used in makeup in the past & had no issues). So the ingredients in the BE matte formula seems pretty safe for me (no bismuth oxychloride). I also get good coverage fast without looking heavy/cakey, just like EM's intensive, but which has been an issue with other MMU.
I've had one full day of wearing it & remember why I love mineral makeup so much (as I've been using liquid since my EM ran out). It feels so light & doesn't get greasy on me. It doesn't wear off as fast either. I wouldn't say BE is any better than Everyday Minerals, but EM no longer has my color & they've gotten too big in the head (at least BE is open about being a big corporation).
Anyway, if I have any issues, I'll report back, but so far, so good!

Hey there, any effects from the ingredients in BE? I am an everyday minerals user and am terrified to make the switch. I too have light olive sking...no pink here

I loved BM. Was a faithful user...up until my breakouts. I also like the way MM feels weightless on my skin. I've been using Hello Minerals for a couple years and absolutely love it. It also is matte-no bismuth and half the price of BM. If your ever looking for a change up...I would recommend this brand.

I haven't had any breakout issues with the BM matte formula, FYI. My skin is no better, no worse.
