I suffered with severe back acne and have the scars to prove it. I finally found relieve around 10yrs ago when I used a combination of PanOxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleaning Bar and (maybe) Doxycycline 100mg. I say maybe because I'm not 100% sure the medicine alone has any real effect.

As for the type of acne on my back, I guess pretty much everything. But the real problem was the cystic acne. It was incredibly painful. Picking at it defiantly made things a lot worse and probably why I have the scars.

But using this soap once a day only on my back and chest works great. Stops most acne around 95% of the time. But be CAREFUL as this makes your skin's sensitivity to the sun great even with sunscreen. You will get a sunburn very fast and the last thing you want is melanoma. Also, careful to wash it off completely as it bleaches clothing.

I thank god everyday this soap is on the market.

If I ever can save up enough money, I would be interested in getting the scar treatment. They are the type that are raised.

do you think you could maybe give me an approximate timeline of results you saw from panoxyl? I've been using it for only 4 days now and my skin does feel a little softer. :) but, I'm impatient- so it would be nice to know how long it took for your skin to clear up all the way; or at least get to a point where breakouts were controlled and there were very few pimples left. I'm really hoping this will work for me, but I would want to know if I'm going to have to stick with it for a long time in order to see results.

Thanks in advance! :)
