Hi there!

I put an external link in my signature yesterday to my personal blog, and it got moderated. I didn't realize that there were absolutely no links allowed, and i'm sorry about that.

I completely understand why you guys do this, as many other acne boards just get spammed with garbage and you need to protect the integrity of the board.

The thing is though is that my blog is pure information. I cleared my acne with holistic methods and all I want to do is spread the word. I'm absolutely not selling or promoting any products on it whatsoever, you can check it out yourself. No ads either. I'm not making any money and it's no different than the holistic acne blogs people have on this website.

The reason I made my own blog instead of here is so I could help people not only on this site, but everywhere. I just think it's a shame I'm not allowed to share it, because I could really help people. Is there any exceptions to this rule? I understand if not, but I just thought I'd ask.

Thank you so much for listening smile.gif

You can certainly place the web address of your blog in your personal profile, but you may not have it in your sig or posts.

Thanks for the reply.

That is fine, but the thing is, I did put it in my profile... I saw that it asked for my website address and personal statement under settings, so I filled that in. But when you go to look at my profile, the website address or personal statement is not actually visible anywhere. So that is not helpful at all.

Am I missing something?

I see it on your profile. It's under your personal statement. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Tangerine-m30941.html
However, it needs to be a web address, not a direct link as it is now. Please fix it.

I don't know, when I click on that link, or if I log out and look at my profile, I don't see it anywhere.

I also don't understand what you mean about it being a dirent link as opposed to a web address? Is a web address just the site address without the http://? If so, if I try to take the http off, it just comes back. It even specifies there in the box to fill in your website that it has to have the http.

It says "Your Website: Your website must be a valid link beginning with http://"

Could you explain what you mean? thanks.

When I click the link above, I see it on the left hand side under your personal statement on your profile page.

I didn't realize it made you type in the full url, my apologies.
Regardless, I'm not sure why you can't see it. I can. I even clicked on it and it took me straight to your blog page.

I think I figured it out.
It is probably the skin you have selected for this website.
I am using IP board pro, and I can see your link in your profile, but when I switch to Acne.org 2.0 skin, it doesn't show up. You probably have that skin selected. The profile is formatted a little differently depending on which board skin you are using. I can see it in the spider skin too.
