Getting Restylane and gonna try needling for hypopigmentation

I posted before about my large cystic acne scar on one cheek and hypo pigmentation from co2 ablasive laser surgery.
Anyway I saw a consultant here in Switerland and they gave me a few options.
They couldnt recommend anything for the pigmentation loss, which i guessed would be the case anyway. They said its easier to treat hypopigmentation when all the pigment is lost but in my case i have some left.
So I am going to try needling for this. Ill start on one scar, track the results and see if it makes a difference. Has anyone tried this for hypopigmentation? what needle size etc would i need to get?
If this doesnt work, ill try the Avita re-cell which i beleive is invented by an Australian in Perth. Actually that is where im from, so in a few months ill be there and try and try to meet up with her.
For the depressed scar they advised to try Restylane or cut it out as it very localized and only on one cheek.
Least risk is of course a filler so i have booked myself to have this done in two weeks.
I asked them about subsicion but they hadnt heard of it, however this is in Switzerland so Im not sure what it would be called in German. they seemed sure they can make the scar level again without any donut effect etc.
Im hoping for the best and i understand this is a temporary solution but at least I can see what can be done and then look for something more permanent.
I was going to see Dr Khan but I have alot of doubts after talking to him. Sounded more like a salesman imho. but i hope im wrong
Ill keep you all updated

It looks like you could benefit from Silikon 1000, a permanent filler, which is great to fill large depressed area if that's what I'm seeing.

I had juvaderm injections in the large depressed scare on my right cheek. this is the first procedure after 15 years of trauling these forums for a cure and after a failed ablasive co2 laser treatment which left me with some hypo pigmentation patches on my cheeks.
I took some snaps with my iphone, not the best quality but i tried to get the worst possible light i could. Se attached results.
Overall, the procedure cost me 600CHF (swiss franks), took 10 minutes and the results are pretty good imo. Today is day 2.
The surface scar is still there but the HUGE hole is pretty much gone, well 95%. i
It does feel lumpy, i had no side effects. I know fillers are temporary but it gives me an idea of what can be done in a more permanent way.Next ill try subcision with filler or subcision suction when that becomes possible. Then concentrate on the hypo pigmentation. I will be in Australia in a month and im trying to contact the inventor of recell for some advice. I beleive she is from Perth. ill keep u updated

I know the filler is temporary but were you told how long this would hold?
Also, was your scar always as depressed or was it a gradual process ( meaning did it get more indented over time)? I ask cause I am thinking this manipulation/filler might encourage some collagen growth, especially if the scar has continued to change over time. Just a speculation, of course.

Unlike alot of people, Accutane was the worst thing I could have had. Antibiotics targetted to this cyst would have cured it but instead the accutane drug caused the cyst to collapse and create a ball under the skin and it was deep purple for years afterwards.
Im told the filler will last 9 -12 months but im skeptical although hopeful. I could continue to have it done and remain this way of course but now that I know i can look relatively normal again I will try something a little more permanent like subcision, with suction if it is available. Plus filler.
This will help my body produce collagen and raise the scar naturally.
But basically I am very very please with the results. Also no side effects, i.e blueness, itchy, red etc.
I try and get some bad light and post another pic

My cysts are brutal, so I can imagine the severity of what you had there. Luckily it seems that you have found quite a solution. We all need maintenance, so going for touch ups on this would not bother me one bit!
I have been frequenting the scar forum for a while and I must say, I am quite impressed with the improvement seen here. Quick and relatively painless. Good for you!

So its been about a year now since I had Restylane.
It has proven to be better than what i had expectatied as after 12months it still hasnt been absorbed by my body. Only a small amount. Possibly something to do with where the scar was located.
Within the next few months I will be attempt restore my Hypopigmentation. Im eagerly following Gbl (thanks for your info) and having various discussions with the doctors they seem to agree on Factional Co2 laser with recell, with more agressive co2 laser on the cheek with the depression, possibly subcision and PRP.
The idea is to lightly resurface the hypopigmented skin and apply recell in order to return the texture and pigment, then on the cheek with the depressed scare to removed the lumpy, jagedness with the co2 and to fill it with something a little more permanent that Restalyne.
My concern is of course having another laser treatment that will cause more hypopigementation or shiny, poreless skin from the laser.
EDIT: I had Javaderm not Restalyne

On top of that I have jagged edges where my main scar is. THese are highly noticable in shodaowy conditions which i stay away from completely where possible.
Anyway the feedback that i have got from the doctors (Khan, doc in glascow and one in nottingham) are that the risks are minimal as they will only lightly laser the hypoed area (0.2-0.3mm with fractional co2) and apply the recell to return texture and pigment. Then on the large scar they will do the same but"tether" the rough edges in order to smooth the scar out by being slightly more agressive.
So I feel the risks are minimal and there may potentially be some great results. Knowing that the filler works well already , and with the chance that recell can return texture and colour ill be one happy chappy.
I just hope im not being gullable and beleving the doctors sales pitch. I wont use Khan for this reason.
Would be nice to hear any stories similar to mine
