it specifics which ingredient is best for different kinds of acne, I'm currently using a product that contains silica and natrum muriaticum. It's doing wonders for me. My skin has been messed up for some time now due to all the chemicals I used on my skin a little while back. Just a few days ago my forehead was scaly and full of blackheads and the pores on my cheeks were huge. Now my skin looks like skin again and a lot of my blackheads are gone, also the pores on my cheeks are smaller.

The reason why it evens out the skin and lessens the appearance of pores is because silica is the same type of particle used in transparent loose power. (makeup) It covers the skin with the silica making it appear more refined and evening out texture. Until it is washed off, that is.
