| Sendai:During that time did u use cleansers? How many times did you shower per week and what was the temperature of the water? pls reply thanks |
No cleansers. I showered once per day in the morning, once more during the day if I was training. I do not use very hot water, but I have no idea what temperature the water is. I do not have thermometer at hand.

| There has to ba a lot said for it for the simple fact that while in the military you used water and nothing else and the majority of acne sufferers came out four years later with clear skin. My uncle was one of them 15 years ago and he had severe acne at the time. |
Most acne goes over by itself with time, especially for those who have it young (military age). Worse chances for those of us who have it when no longer so young. So just because the majority of any given group stops having acne during four years time, proves nothing. Unfortunately.
However, I found this in a medical journal (this is the abstract):
| QUOTE |
Background In westernized societies, acne vulgaris is a nearly universal skin disease afflicting 79% to 95% of the adolescent population. In men and women older than 25 years, 40% to 54% have some degree of facial acne, and clinical facial acne persists into middle age in 12% of women and 3% of men. Epidemiological evidence suggests that acne incidence rates are considerably lower in nonwesternized societies. Herein we report the prevalence of acne in 2 nonwesternized populations: the Kitavan Islanders of Papua New Guinea and the Aché hunter-gatherers of Paraguay. Additionally, we analyze how elements in nonwesternized environments may influence the development of acne. Observations Of 1200 Kitavan subjects examined (including 300 aged 15-25 years), no case of acne (grade 1 with multiple comedones or grades 2-4) was observed. Of 115 Aché subjects examined (including 15 aged 15-25 years) over 843 days, no case of active acne (grades 1-4) was observed. Conclusions The astonishing difference in acne incidence rates between nonwesternized and fully modernized societies cannot be solely attributed to genetic differences among populations but likely results from differing environmental factors. Identification of these factors may be useful in the treatment of acne in Western populations. |

They speculated that it probably has something to do with diet. However, they don't really know.

I agree with alex, putting all this so called "Acne cure" crap on your face doesn't help atall.
Alex has the right idea, but it needs to be modified for certain people (me) who's hair get's very greasy within one day.
So all you do is wash your hair in the morning..and wet your face...then don't touch/wash your face again untill the following morning.
Been working for me atm

This is actually really facinating because it makes sense that we've never heard it before, its not like companies will say "you dont need our product at all". We should cash in by making a water tight face mask so people dont get it wet in the shower.

Its better to wet your face than apply a face mask, thats the whole point..no chems
I only did that for experimental reasons..i dont see any difference though.
