I was wondering if any of these supplements (calcium, vitamin D, zinc gluconate/picolinate) will cause me to break out or make me more prone to scarring?

I plan on taking 1000 iu of VIT D daily, 1200 MG of calcium, and 50 mg of zinc.

Is this fine?

According to most threads on this forum and research elsewhere your suggesting will probably not break you out, but rather help.

I honestly believe it's impossible to generalize, and every person will have their own reaction. From what I know, none of these SHOULD cause an IB, but it's impossible for any of us to accurately tell you.

absolutly not a good supplement.

rda is 15 mg, thats the most your supp should ever have. unless you have severe intestinal problems like bad ibs crohns coeliac ulcerative colitis.

it interfere with calcium and magnesium absorption. and these minerals are actually more important to your health then zinc. heart function, gastrointesinal function, all those muscles need calcium and magnesium as well as potassium to do their jobs, zinc plays a small role in those major critical functions, chill out on the zinc.

i have decided to reduce the doseage to 50 mg zinc ( know daily value is 18mg, but you dont actually absorb all of the zinc you take, more like 10-15 percent of it)

Better choice, but 50 mg is still too much. its 333% daily value, and including what you are getting in your diet, thats still alot. short term its fine like 2 weeks or so, but never long term. and how do you know that you are deficient in zinc at all?? how do you even know you need it? if you havent had a blood test, there is no need to replete a life threatening deficit.

these trace minerals can be hard to handle in the body if they rise to high levels and become toxic, our bodys can handle zinc better then lead or mercury, but still anything in too high an amount is toxic.

You can try opti-Zinc, from NOWFoods.

I think too much zinc could potentially be a bad thing. Only because it's hard to get zinc into the high levels purely from food. Just seems unNatural to overstep boundaries that high which would be difficult to reach using a natural approach in the first place.

You might try to find some revised RDA's or maybe research some studies on zinc. I don't pay much attention to an RDA since most of what I find out later on, is that their off mark compared to studies that come out after real scientists actually do real research. The RDA also doesn't factor in the different forms of that particular mineral. The studies are done looking at things as a whole.

So i recently started taking zinc picolinate (60 mg) and a probiotic.

I was wondering if these could cause acne? I noticed i started getting small pimples on my cheeks (usually get bigger ones, but not that often).

IS it possible that its an IB, or should i stop the supplements? I have taken them for a few days so far.
