Yes, this happens to me almost 100% of the time when I try to search for something, so its not just you. Super annoying.

Almost everytime I try to search for something on the boards, it fails.
I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
All the other funtions on this site work, and I can search google or anywhere else just fine, leading me to believe it's not my internet connection.
Does anyone else have this problem??

The top search bar is for searching the entire site. The 'Search boards' tool only searches the message boards. ; )

I just emailed Joel about it...I definitely want a working search. We'll make sure it's working well, and if it's not, we'll change our search to a more reliable one. Thanks for the alerts.

it works pretty well if you ignore the instructions and treat it like an exact match google search, i.e. if you want results for gluten free diet, type "gluten free diet"
...but of course you have to know that.

Search should work now. Joel says he has fixed it.

I use Safari and was having the same problem, but I just tried it and now it's working. Thanks for fixing it!

Yay! Thanks for the feedback and letting us know it's working again. Joel needs to hear props every so often, too.
