Are there any scientific studies to link smoking and acne? i have been a smoker for many years and have been told that smoking is making my skin worse.I have friends who smoke and they don't have any spots at all.I know i should quit not just for my skin but for my health generally but when i get spots i get very depressed and so i smoke and when i smoke i worry that i will get more spots. Its a vicious cycle of confusion.

I quit for 9 days and my skin got worse so i started again.

Smoking does age the skin and might slow down healing because it drains vitamin C
