It's really simple:
At night:
I use a pea sized amount of Retin-A .05% over my entire face
Followed by Jojoba oil, I squeeze a few drops into my palms and smooth onto mostly my chin (because that's the area that used to peel the worst)
I don't bother washing makeup off at night b/c I use the Almay Clear complexion concealer & barely ever have to use any (now).
In the morning:
While in the shower I use the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) & I just do 100% Caster Oil (which I ordered off amazon in a large bottle b/c the stuff they sell in the pharmacy is for internal use and pretty expensive) I also bought a standard oil salad dressing bottle (which I keep in the shower and makes it a lot less messy). I just massage about a nickle- quarter sized drop of oil in and then let it sit while I cleanse my body and shave. I then use really hot water to rinse/steam face with washcloth. It's the standard OCM- just google it.
Why it's different:
It's non drying and you emerge from the shower feeling like your face is so soft and smooth, not tight or dry. It has totally eleminated my peeling and dryness caused from the Retin-A. It dissolves dirt, grime, and blackheads. Your skin feels so great afterward!
*Once a week, or whenever I feel like it, I use Epsom Salt to exfoliate (before I do OCM-in shower, b/c otherwise it's too messy). Just pour some into my palm and massage onto my wet face. (be careful not to rub too hard! I did actually CUT myself with a large crystal once)
My skin has never looked or FELT better & while I'll still get a zit near my hairline occasionally/rarely my skin is as close to PERFECT as ever! It was really hard for me to give up my SA cleanser b/c I was convinced that OIL is "BAD" and it's totally contrary to what you read about oil, but the oil actually dissolves the sebum/dirt/crud and clears your pores! It's freaky but true.

I keep hearing about the OCM, but I never get around to looking around for castor oil.
How long have you been using the Retin-A?
