Is it okay to use Differin cream once per night while on a Derma Rolling routine?

I wouldn't combine a retinoid and needling, sounds like a great combo to cause scarring (retinoids usually leave the skin tender and delicate)

Anyone else?

I contacted a dr. who does derma rolling and she said no retinoids 5 days prior to rolling? Do you guys think this is sufficient? Or am I going to screw myself up...

speaking from experience. derma roller don't really provide results. don't be fooled by sites showing before and after. i've used them for over a year in different degrees; conventional way and not where skin was red to bleeding mess and it looked good for a while but just goes back to the way they were. i think dry needling aka tattooing without pigment is better. just stick to the topical.

It seems like other people got some pretty good results, and I think I might because most of my scars are not tethered down.

Mine aren't tethered down and to be honest I don't even have acne scars but I do have scars that are like pockmarks.

I see, well do you think it works for anyone?

No, none at all. My facial scars are superficial. I had better results with injectable fillers. After seeing a link to photos that gimme posted, I'm thinking I could have gone deeper but didn't want to risk it. I was using 2mm and the reason why I got that was because I wanted to use it on body scars as well. My skin isn't all that thick so I didn't press so hard on my face with it but did with my body scars and it didn't do a thing from stretch marks to keloid to superfical scars...i thought it was doing a good job then down the road it just return to its original states. Maybe it works better on burn scars breaking up scar tissue to flatten it. For me, its kind of like a good moisturizer and its improves the look but temporary.

I've been using the roller (.5mm) with my differin, and immediate results are great! I mostly have small bumpy clogged areas and discoloration at this point though (red pih). I think it's basically just enhancing product penetration with such small needles, that was my goal. I've been sing Differin for 4 months already, with no peeling, just increased oiliness without acne - yay!
I've tried using the Differin right after rolling, and I've tried Differin with rolling on top. I can't tell if there is much of a difference between the two though.
Results in one week (3 rolls) are dramatic lightening of my red marks and disappearance of many bumps. My skin looks great!
