Hi all, its been so interesting reading everyones logs, i thought i'd add my experience too.

I have generally had issues with spots for years, nothing major, little pimples mainly. nothing that ever bothered me, my cheeks have always been clear.

In march this year, i woke up one morning to find my cheeks EXPLODED in tiny bumps, the whole area was red. thought it was allergic reaction and it will go... well it did not!!

Eventually some of the spots become inflammed, more on my right cheek. I dont know what they're called, basically i could feel lumps under the skin and they were angry red and painful!

After a series of events, in aug my GP prescribed Duac for AM, isotrexin for PM, advised in one month they should clear... Nope didn't happen!! instead with Duac i had major dryness, and burning. but i persisted.

sept - went back to GP who was shocked it didnt work! Referred me to a derm, and gave me Doxy 100mg to take once a day.

Now - I still use isotrexin every night, and Duac every morning, mainly because they helped clear ALOT of the tiny bumps on my left cheek, and I have done tons of reading on Duac, and found it needs 3 months to completely work.

I have Doxy everyday, and i take a herbal drink every night, the purpose of it is to clear my system from the inside, as I do believe that these types of issues are indicators that something is wrong on the inside.

I have noticed over the last 2 weeks, my skin is amazingly oily during the day, im scared i will break out on my forehead.... can anyone suggest something for this?

before i barely needed one blotting paper, now i go through 2 a day. NOT GOOD.

as for my cheeks, this week i have seen an improvement, my left cheek has scarring, and one new inflammed spot.

my right has not got any new, alot of scarring, and the Duac us helping peel the skin and get the gunk out from under. one thing i noticed is, once the puss comes to the top, it comes out with near to no effort, and if i get it out completely, it heals well underneath.

I am getting married in 5 months..... should i be going through this? doh!!
hoping it clears, then i can get dermabrasion done to clear scarring.
