Hello all. After reading the lengthy thread about fungus, I'm beginning to think this is maybe what I'm suffering from but I have a few questions:
I've had these bumps on my chin and forehead for TWO YEARS now, is it possible for a fungus to last this long?
I've tried tons of AHAs, BHAs, BCPs, and Retinoids and still these bumps never come to a head. I'm currently using Ziana every other night so:
Should I try using Tea Tree Oil or a Shampoo like H&S?
How should I incorporate this in my routine?
How long should I use it before deciding if its effective or not?
Thanks all! : )

Hi,
Yes a fungus can definitely last that long. You have fungus (yeast) naturally occurring on your skin at all times- it's when it starts to grow out of control that it becomes a problem like dandruff or folliculitis.
I didn't find tea tree to work for me, but Nizoral and H&S(classic clean) did. You incorporate either one of them into your routine as a cleanser- lather up the affected area, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then rinse, using your regular cleanser for the rest of your face. You should start to see good results after a week or two of using it twice a day.
Good luck!

Thanks! I purchased Nizoral a few days ago. Been using it in the shower at night..going to give it a week or two to see if it yields any results.

I know it's been almost a year since you wrote this, but what were the results of nizoral?
