Hi, just here to share what I think of the review section. A lot of the products I see that are reviewed aren't accurate well atleast I think they aren't accurate because if you look at ANY products and see a review there would be ones saying how bad the product is (Getting thumbs down) And then when someone would say how good the product is they will get thumbs up right away. No questions asked, I find this kinda silly because most people don't want to face the truth of the product not working so they thumbs down it. Even if the review the person is giving is 100 percent true and against the product they will still get major thumbs down, what do you guys think about this situation? eusa_naughty.gif

Moved to the Announcements And Feedback board.

We've actually already had some threads about this:

I agree in some respects. I saw an accutane review which had a brilliant write up and the person reviewing it had only been taking it 6 days, yet it still had a few thumbs up from people! You can't review a drug after 6 days and say its great!

I have noticed the same thing as you though, but many people will say things like...worst drug ever, it ruined my life...but they don't give any more info than that. That's when people give it the thumbs down!

I also think some people may give their own positive reviews thumbs up, or may be confused as to what the thumbs ups/downs are for, so they may be giving them based on whether the review is positive or negative, instead of on how helpful the review was. (I know is says right next to the thumbs, 'Was the above review helpful?', but you'd be surprised at how many people don't bother reading that sort of stuff before clicking.)

I wouldn't call the whole reviews section useless. The thumbs up/down system, perhaps, but not the actual reviews. I don't even bother looking at the thumbs up/down rating because, as you said, it's unreliable. People rate on whether or not they agree with what the reviewer wrote, not on the quality of the review itself.

Every product works and every product doesn't work. A person's skin is unique like a fingerprint. And no that skin ID garbage I see on TV from Neutrogena ain't IDing anything. What can they do? 27 combinations? I forgot there are 27 types of people in the world. Get serious. I'm releasing heat because people shouldn't have to go through what I went through. I went from Clinique (horrible) to Stridex (worse) to Dan (decent) to Neutrogena (better) to Nizoral (best). Some people find rubbing sand particles on your skin until it turns red is good (Clinique) but I don't.

For me Neutrogena and Nizoral work best.
