Since I'm going to start using the Acne.org Regimen, I figured why not make a log so I can track my progress, especially with pictures.

Today (8/15/10) is Day 0, as the Starter Kit should arrive in the mail tomorrow and I'll start using it then.

Background:
I'm 17 years old, male, and have had acne for around 4 years I guess. I remember having clear skin in middle school, so that's about right. Anyway I've had little success in trying to get rid of my acne completely.

My current regimen looked something like this:
Cetaphil face wash
Clearasil Ultra Acne Clearing Scrub
Egg White mask
ACV toner

Without further ado...

DAY 0:

DAY 3:

After an initial breakout the first day or two (I guess this was my skin purging?), my face definitely looks better now. Most of the initial pimples are gone or look like they are going away. The whole time I just kept thinking about how my skin would eventually look.

So far, I haven't really experienced any of the usual "side-effects" of BP, like dryness, flakiness, or redness. My face is a little itchy, but it was like that before I started the Regimen. I think this might be because I used to use a BP face wash from my dermatologist.

Overall I like using the Regimen, and I'm going to stick with it. I think I'll update this with pictures once a week, and text every few days. On a side note, does anyone else find applying the BP strangely calming / relaxing. I actually kind of enjoy it.

DAY 40:

I think the Regimen is going pretty well. Looking at my face every day, it doesn't seem like there is that much of a change, but the pictures show a nice difference, at least in my opinion. My face usually looks a little better, today was kind of a bad day..

I'm definitely getting less breakouts and they heal so much more quickly than before I started on the Regimen. My face still gets a bit red whenever I apply BP and the old moisturizer, but I'm hoping Dan's new formula will change that. I just ordered my 2nd kit and some AHA+, so hopefully that will help even more.

Another reason I wanted to update this was that I started taking AcneScript today. A few people here have taken it here and seen some goods results, so I thought why not. It's basically a multi-vitamin for acne, with B5, B6, Zinc, etc.

DAY 100!:

I actually didn't pick Day 100 on purpose, it just happened when I was counting.

Anyway, here's some new pictures...I don't know why I have the goofy smile on my face.





Looking back at Day 0 and even Day 40, I'm really impressed with how much my skin has improved. All that's left now is the occasional pimple that goes away quickly, and a bunch of red marks. And those will just clear up with time.

DAY 205 (I think):

I figured I would post a few more pictures now since I've doubled my time on the Regimen.




Like before, the only thing I have left is red marks, except for that stupid thing on my nose that won't go away It's been there since September '10.

Originally it was a large cyst with pus and everything, but it eventually reduced in size after I took some medication and now there isn't anything left in it (I think). I guess it could just be a red mark, although it is still slightly raised and sometimes it gets redder. Any thoughts?

Other than that, I switched to the Clean & Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser and the CeraVe Moisturzing Facial Lotion because of costs. I actually like both products more than Dan's, the cleanser is less drying and makes me feel cleaner, and the moisturizer is better than Dan's new moisturizer. I also started using the AHA+ as a moisturizer about every other night or so, which helps with the red marks.

Don't get discouraged! At Day 40 my face was only a little better than the start. Give it at least 3 months and then hopefully you'll see some remarkable improvement.

...and this is why you don't stop using the Regimen for 3 weeks

I switched over to the water-only regimen for certain reasons but just couldn't take how my face looked. It used to be worse than this too, I think this is about Day 10.

Hopefully in a few months I'll have not one but two success stories for the Acne.org Regimen. If it worked once it can work twice, right?
