That is the problem with acne, when your skin cannot deal with weather changes. I suggest to use an egg mask once a week and try some moisturizer with some fatty acid that make your face less oily (research and test). Jojoba oil may help and a paper to clean/absorb the oil. Drink water also and remember, changes needs time like most regimen.

I will try the jojoba oil.

What is the egg mask?
Could it potentially cause breakouts?
Is this for oily skin? How should I apply this?

egg mask has the effect to quickly lower your body temp, but the effects are temporary as in a few minutes(15-30min).

regarding drinking water someone stated before, yes, I did notice that instead of producing oil every hour or so, the time lengthened to approx. 2hours. But this was through drinking water religiously(one glass with every bathroom break and only noticed results after a few days) and forcing the body to cool down through excessive water intake is not an answer sideways.gif

I wish someone knew the exact answer for oily skin. Seems to be a lot of conflicting information out there with nothing solid. My guess is that it is something internal. Trying to do things topically may only help temporarily. If we can find the source and attack it there then i think we find the answer to the oily skin issue.

if it were only that simple..
I've had this for over 2 years. I've pretty much tried everything.
I really need help.

Hi, I have terribly oily skin, primarily on the face and I sweat an awful lot, abnormally, in the simplist of situations such as getting dressed, walking upstairs, just moving around. I'm not particularly unfit as I have been doing a lot of exercise lately, and having been to the doctors and having had blood tests regarding this sweating, it was non-conclusive and nothing came back as the main factor in causing said sweating.
I have suffered with acne for 3 years now and my oily skin and sweating problems have exacerbated the condition and worsened along with the acne, only this year have I connected this problems with hormonal imbalance issues and am still having blood tests done for a conclusive cause, if there is one, for my acne breakouts on the face chest and back and the excessive sweating/overheating.
I recently had an ultra-sound for polycystic ovary syndrome which often causes these sorts of symptoms to arise and this was also inconclusive so I am having further blood tests to check my pituitary gland and thyroid again. As my predicament I believe is caused by hormonal imbalance issues, maybe it would help for you to go to your GP or doctor and have them check your levels and thyroid and pituitary glands to see if everything is normal. Also, I am currently trying out a birth control pill to hopefully help minimise these symptoms in the long run. Other than that all you can really do to help the symtpoms naturally is wash your body and face regularly to minimise bacterial growth and whenever you overheat stand by a fan or window like I do until you cool down. Hope this helps?

I've done my thyroid hormone testing.

Everything seemed fine but was at the low end of the normal range except for the testosterone-free, which was lower than the normal range.
The doctor signed off from this without knowing that I have such problem.
Any ideas?

Cutting the dairy completely out of my diet is extreme and probably impossible.

Hey again,
Sorry for the late response. I recently went back to the doctors and got my blood test and ultrasound results, my FSH and LH hormone levels were slightly elevated and I have micro cysts on my ovaries and have therefore been diagnosed with mild Poly cystic ovary syndrome. I'm not saying implicitly that you will have this its just I'm having and have had over the past few years very similar experiences to you with immense sweating and acne fluctuations as well as oily skin issues, these, from my research and what my doctor told me are/can be symptomatic of PCOS and are still just as bad.
I have been on a birth control pill for 2 months now and my doctor says I have to take them for at least 6 to see a measurable improvement if there is to be one, but I guess I'll have to see. Either way I still sweat immensely and have acne flare ups all the time which are now becoming cystic and very painful. Both the sweating and acne are terribly embarrassing and horribly uncomfortable as I'm sure you will know yourself. Funnily enough my other blood tests all came back normal so it doesn't appear to be related to either my thyroid or pituitary gland just like yours. Do you have any other symptoms?

I'm a guy.
I want to also add that when I eat oily food, it doesn't seem to be digested, rather excreted as sebum. I get really really oily after eating oily food and that's a fact. Could I be deprived of some sort of nutrient?

Excessive sweating.. I have the same. Mostly on my face/head. :\ And I also feel hot really easily.

Could be facial hyperhidrosis or hypothyroidism.

It really sucks dealing with excessive sweating (face), oily skin, and acne, all at the same time. It's like, you don't even know where to begin. -_-

I have basically the same issues as you, although I'm a female it could be related to the same. I'm pretty sure by now I don't process well too much fat and that of course has an effect on my hormones as well. I have noticed the same thing, when I eat too much fat my face gets pretty oily, I also tend to sweat more than normal but I really think this has improved with certain changes I have made, which are:
I eat sweet potatoes or butternut squash on a daily basis, this is to get a good amount of beta carotene, I think this has worked great reducing my oiliness!, I prefer to get it from the food rather than then taking the supplement, because these two have so much nutritional value.
I'm taking now vitamins B6, B5, and Zinc you can try also a B-50 complex but I tried that I didn't see much improvement on oiliness but I do think the sweating did improve and my hair got an awesome shine to it!!. I'm not sure if the B6, B5 and Zinc are going to work, I'm testing that this month but I have read on many places that they support Fat metabolism.
Try to reduce your fat intake, and the fat that you do consume, make good choices, such as getting your omega 3 from fatty fish, olive oil and a bit of saturated fat. But moderation is a key with fats for me, last month I increased the amount of coconut oil I was consuming and that was big mistake I got huge pimples precisely just in of my cheeks (left one).

There is a great thread done by Alternavista about good things to support fat metabolism,
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Good-Acne...30#entry2637530

So I suggest you to try for a month, I don't think it would hurt on any way. I have done way more things, but I don't think those have had a major impact on my oiliness because I have eaten pretty healthy since long time ago and oil was still there.

Same here. I notice i get hotter especially after eating somethings containing sugar or flour face( cakes, noodles... sugar will flow to you blood fast and everything, i can't remember) so i suggest a low glycemic diet. Search for it and you will have some explanation about how ur body is hotter when you eat high gi food. And remember to check the glycemic load of food rather than glycemic index. Eating small meal is better. I've eaten low GL food for few day and notice my body was not as hot as before
