Getting AHA is not easy, I'm not aware of any products which you can get in the shops. You could try ordering from a uk online retailer - http://www.bravuralondon.co.uk/ sell AHA.
Personally though, I would wait for Dan's stuff to come, shipping is usually quite fast - like within a fortnight.

Thanks for that, ur prob right! Its been shipped, think I waited so long for my first order coz of the ash cloud fiasco! Can u share with me any of your experiences with dans aha? Did it sting or break u out? How often do u use it? Do u moisturise as well? Sorry for all the questions!

Its great as a spot treatment on top of BP, it provides a strong combination especially if you catch the breakout early.

Personally I'm not a great fan of it as a moisturiser. It did not sting me much or cause outbreaks, but for me it did not hydrate enough. However I'm probably in the minority as most reviewers seem to like it. The idea is you use in place of your normal nightime moisturiser, after you've been using BP for at least a month, and you'll need to use an SPF during the day when using AHA (and for a week after discontinuing use) because it increaes the risk if sunburn.

Hope that helps!

That's great thanks a lot. I've also ordered the eucerin moisturiser that it listed in your signature. Have been using ucerin for acne prone skin with lactic acid but its quite expensive for a small amount. What do you think of the eucerin you use?

No problem, I love the Eucerin hydro protect, it is quite thick and does not absorb immediately, but it hydrates brilliantly and seems to give good spf protection.

Incidentally, where did you order it from ? I normally get it from boots online but its out of stock and can not find it anywhere else.

Ebay - and it was seriously expensive but if it works then I'll just use it once a day!

I've just started the regimen 2 weeks ago, and I'm using Cetaphil lotion to good effect so far, but of course I have the problem of it containing no SPF. I think I'm going to have to pay up for the Eucerin on Ebay like you have.

I'm starting to think about jojoba too, as I've heard great things about it. I see Amazon.co.uk have an organic one for just over £9. Would likely work out cheaper or same price as Dan's after international postage.

Have you tried any jojoba?

How do u find the cetaphil? What cleanser are you using? I've just started week 3, upped my bp again so a bit dry round my mouth. Have been using jojoba oil -,ot dans- on a cotton pad and rubbing it over my skin before cleansing, scared it will break me out really!!

I've been using simple as well as eucerin but can't decide on which to stick to!

Is the cetaphil greasy?

Ok so the expensive eucerin arrived today - from singapore!! it seems really thick! and its in a pot which i dont really like coz you're constantly opening/closing, fingers in and out!

Is it really a great moisturiser?? It isnt pore clogging is it? sorry for the questions but it just feels thick and im scared to use it!

Regarding the Cetaphil lotion I have found it just fine. It goes on better with the gel based BPs than the Neutrogena on the spot one - since NOTS is cream too you end up wallowing in white for quite a while during application. I've been having trouble with my BP supplies so have been using just what I can get 'til Dan's arrives.

I don't have very oily skin - not as much as in previous years - but have more than my fair share, and I don't feel that it makes it worse at all. Like many people on here, using moisturizer on my face is a bit of a novelty for me!

I am also using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Just convenient because Lloyds do it. I didn't like the cleanser as much at the beginning. Using it is somewhat akin to washing in watered down wallpaper paste! You can't easily see where you've been with it because there is no lather. This means that you tend to have to touch your face more to check you've not missed any bits, and probably use more than is strictly necessary in order to ensure complete coverage ( I think one bottle will only last 2 weeks, at about £8 a time).

But it hasn't broken me out, and I'm getting used to it.

Another forum user has kindly told me that Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25, and Vichy CAPITAL SOLEIL Anti -reaction SPF 50 for intolerant skin, are both good if you are avobenzone intolerant, and they are available in UK.

Where are you getting the jojoba?

I've used it for about 2 years and its definitely never broken me out, its non-comeogenic and does'nt contatin any avobenzone which can cause outbreaks in some people. I know what you mean - it is a thick cream and something lighter is easier to use, but it does hydrate really well.

I going to try and see if its been discontinued and if so try and find a decent alternative, Ellie713's suggestions look good.

No, I haven't started a log - should have really. I'm having a not so good day today, probably due to a dreaded visit to the hairdressers yesterday. I don't know if other people feel this, but it's having to sit in front of a mirror for what seems like hours examining your imperfections, whilst everyone who works there floats past sporting perfect skin. Oh well!.. at least the hair looks better.

Ha!! I haven't been for a year or so! Thankfully I'm quite good at trimming my own hair and it grows quite slowly but I just couldn't do it! No chance of it! Well done you!!

Perhaps we have identified a gap in the market for mirror-free hairdressing salons?
