I've been on the regimen for about two weeks. The moisturizer makes my skin itch and I'm a little concerned that it's causing breakouts. Does anyone else have an issue with the moisturizer?

My skin is itchy when it is dry. Maybe you aren't using enough moisturizer?

Q: When I apply the moisturizer it burns/stings. What should I do?
A: Some people may experience light burning or stinging when they are new to the Regimen. The skin may be sensitive from the benzoyl peroxide and this may cause an uncomfortable sensation when the moisturizer is applied. This usually goes away within a few weeks as the skin adjusts to the new products. If it doesn't, you may want to try a different moisturizer. See our recommended products page. Also, be sure you did not start out with one of the AHA moisturizers. If you are going to use one of them, it's usually best to wait at least a month before doing so. The glycolic acid and/or lactic acid in them may create a brief sting or burning sensation to the skin.

Well, I use a pretty good amount. It only itches as soon as I apply the moisturizer. Otherwise, it doesn't itch as much. I think I just need to get used to the products still.

yup happened to me for the first 2 weeks(it would sting a lot). Now that i'm on my 3rd week(almost on my 4th), it doesn't sting at all & it feels really good. I also put one drop of jojoba oil at night only and it feels even better.

OK, thanks.
I'd love to use the jojoba oil, but I have active whiteheads right now and I'm afraid it will make them worse.

Most likely. If it keeps happening after a month or so, you might want to try and switch moisturizers.

I've been using the regimen for almost 2 months now. It was going really great and then I added in Jojoba oil around the 5th week or so because my face was ridiculously dry. It was great but then maybe about 1.5 weeks in of daily application, my face started to itch like crazy. I had been using the jojoba and everything was fine, so I'm not sure why all of a sudden I reacted to it. So, I dropped the jojoba. I noticed I was still itchy and realized there is jojoba in the moisturizer also so I dropped that too and now just use another moisturizer. My face is still itchy, but much less than before, but still itchy enough that it is bothersome.
It's definitely not because I'm dry; while I still do feel somewhat dry, it's a different kind of itch.
Am I allergic? Is is the BP that I'm reacting too? Should I stop the BP?

hey kristen2010,
i encountered the exact same problems as you did - itchiness and active whiteheads, and so far it's my second week using the Regimen. did you manage to find a solution to that? i read your blog and it seems like you've stopped using the Regimen altogether...
thanks
