I have definitely tried everything I can think of up until now. This is a simple thing that seems to have an effect.
At least once a week I will have a soak in a very warm tub of water. I make sure to turn on each side for equal amounts of time, so that the whole back is exposed to the water. I don't lay down because then nothing soaks in.
Sometimes I will shower after I'm done doing this, or I will shower beforehand. I am still experimenting with whether it is better to use soap and other products before or after the soak. Also, I do it before bed time so that I'm not laying in so much oil. That alone is wonderful.
I have also found that if I spend a longer amount of time in the shower with the water hitting my problem areas, they lessen a great deal. Also, some pimples will either drain on their own, be very easy to drain, or will have reduced in size to the point that they don't need draining anymore (I am wondering if the last part means they did it on their own too.)
My only regret is that I am not able to do this to my face too often, because the rest of me can handle the heat better.
Successes:
-My face doesn't become super oily within minutes of cleaning. I hardly ever feel oily anymore.
-Some areas of my body which had acne are now acne free, and what acne is left doesn't catch and pull on the fabric of my shirt anymore, and doesn't cause much problem.
So, bottom line, this isn't going to solve all acne problems, but it helps and doesn't need to be done every day.
