I have been looking at the UK Cetaphil site www.cetaphil.co.uk and it says you can now purchase it in store at Lloyds Pharmacy. They just do the cleanser, moisturising cream and moisturising lotion (both non comeogenic) My local one did not have them in stock so it might just be the bigger shops.

I've tried the moisturising cream this morning for the first time (got it online) and so far love it. It provides excellent hydration but is not too thick and absorbs quickly, and is relatively cheap.

I'm looking for an alternative cleanser and moisturiser which I can buy instore because its so much easier than buying online, and importing more than just Dan's BP is becoming too expensive. The Cetaphil cleanser looks good but I dont think it lathers unfortunately so cant use as a shaving foam. I really hope they expand their range at Lloyds and bring in stock their SPF moisturiser for the summer.

Did you try the moisturizing CREAM (after BP)? I've only tried the LOTION for my face because I always thought the cream was thicker and better for dry hands, etc. Maybe I was wrong? I think Cetaphil is crappy compared to Dan's moisturizer because it's thick and makes me look greasy, but I'd love to hear more anyways.

By the way, buying stuff online is super easy, honestly. I always get my stuff from Pharmacy2U, it takes like 3 days from the UK to Scandinavia so if you live in the UK it should go super fast.

They carry Cetaphil, just search for it.

I think this place is even cheaper:

I noticed the link to Lloyds on the Cetaphil website a few weeks ago, but the store near me also didn't have it in stock - infact the girl at the counter had never heard of it.

The Lloyds website doesn't list it, either. I wonder if they stopped selling it.

I'm going to order online, too.. just to see if i like it. I've tried a million moisturising products, and i've not been happy with any of them..

lemmy: Then maybe you should try it. I mean, it moisturizes pretty damn well compared to basically all other moisturizers I've ever tried except Dan's, so if you can't get his then Cetaphil might be for you. It never took care of my flakiness completely though.

Yeah, i've tried Dan's and it moisturised very well, but it made my skin go really pink. It's also expensive to be importing to the UK every 4 or 5 weeks.

I've found over the counter replacements for Dan's cleanser and BP that work just as well for me, it's just the moisturiser i've struggled with.

Dan's moisturizer actually makes me way less pink/red than Cetaphil, but I hope it won't be the same for you then. Cetaphil makes me totally red and greasy. Dan's working on making the moisturizer better, by the way -- check the blog, apparently he came up with some formula that makes the skin less red from it.

Edit: Here's what the blog says:

"New, improved non-SPF moisturizer: I’m in love. And so were the first 30 people who trialed it, well, except for perhaps one of them. But that’s a pretty good success rate. So, I am currently doing a second round of testing to really be certain this is going to be our new moisturizer. So far, zero people have said it stings at all, and no one has said it turns them red either, so both problems with the current moisturizer seem to be fixed. I also love the way it feels. So it’s looking good."

EXCITING.

Yes its the cream I am using after BP. My skin is naturally less oily than it used to be when I started the regime 4 years ago. I find the light, oil free moisturisers like Dan's dont hydrate anything like enough for me after BP any more - I need to use a cream. Unfortunately finding a non-comeogenic cream based moisturiser is difficult.

I expect the Cetaphil lotion will also provide good moisturisation for many people on the regime, though of course it varies between person to person. Definitely worth trying though.

Hi,

I have noticed another website selling acne treatments. The are called Natcol??? I don't understand their name but they have some greatly discounted prices on Panoxyl and Cetaphil. I ordered some a couple of weeks ago so I know they had it in stock then. It came in two days so delivery isn't bad and they offered free delivery on my next order. Just another to consider. Perhaps with them being smaller than other companies they may have stock for longer? The web address is . They are an online pharmacy so sell lots of other products as well. They sell some vitamins to help with spots from a company called Healthaid. Has anyone tried anything like this?

Cheers,

Craig.

crichel where on the same brain wave-length with Eucerin and Cetraphil! hehe
I noticed it in my local lloyds pharmcy i've been thinking the same as you, will it be cheaper then importing the acne.org cleanser, but it's around £8 for a small 8oz where dans is, 16oz for around £6 was trying to work it out with custom charges fitting 8, 16oz bottles into a box what would be cheapest, and some how think acne.org's would be if bought in bulk.

But the convience is there with products you can get more locally, so I know what you mean, I feel like trying the cetraphil cleanser though as it's ment to be really moistrizing something, i feel my skiin needs, maybe we should try it together. eusa_dance.gif

Yes I think the Cetaphil cleanser looks good, I would try it but unfortunately it does'nt lather so I can't use it as a shaving foam. They do do a bar of soap which lathers but I would have to import it and I prefer liquid cleansers. But I need to find something which I can use soon as my bottle of Dan's stuff is less than half full, I was looking at Garnier's pure foam wash which I can get in superdrug so might give that a go, its only £2.89.

Its amazing is'nt it how difficult it is to fine decent products for acne prone skin ? There are like dozens and dozens of skin care products out there yet most just arn't suitable for acne prone skin. All I want is a gentle cleanser which lathers and a good quality moisturiser with SPF available in the High Street...maybe I should launch my own brand lol eusa_dance.gif
