I have been doing nonstop research about protein and acne and I have finally invented myself what i believe will be the end to my acne" Study Guide". I will try this for at least two weeks before I take my position on if it is working or not. But I have high hopes for this diet.

Acne

Cellulite/acne is caused by excessive moisture in the skin, which increases the water pressure, and makes the fat cells below the skin clearly visible. This increased water pressure also pinches off tallow canals, which can cause acne if your skin produces much sebum. Excessive protein, damaged protein from prepared foods, and protein from poorly digested food cause the skin to retain more water. Occasional bingeing on salt and spices can only cause the skin to temporarily hold more water, but this can be devastating if your skin is susceptible to acne.
My new diet

Two-week test

1. Eat only fruits and vegetables with only two junk/munch food items a day with a limit of 15g of protein a day to the junk/munch food.

• Sweet potatoes 2g
• French Fries
• Carrots 1g
• Wheat toast bread 7g
• Biscuit 8g
• Ice cream 2g-4g
• Chocolate (no mike) 4g
• Chocolate with mike 9g
• Chicken egg 13g
• Fresh cheese 14g
• Bacon 9g

All of these foods really have a low protein amount so it’s ok to have them in your junk food for the day.

2. If you feel hungry but don’t want a fruit then you are not HUNGRY!!!!!! Even if you stomach is rumbling. If you don’t want a fruit then your body has the fuel it needs already.

3. Do not eat munch-food before lunch. The appetite enhancing influence of beta-carbolines and opioid peptides will make it much harder to keep on eating fruits. After about one year of maintaining this diet, you will be less susceptible to the beta-carbolines and opioid peptides.

4. As you are picking your munch-food for the day, totally disregard nutritional value. Focus, instead on taste, physical satisfaction, and protein contents. Simply choose those munch-foods that contain the least protein and salt- preferably those that contain plenty of fat (real butter/cream/olive oil) and or sugar, and also taste the best.

5. If you are accustomed to consuming lots of bread, cookies, pasta, pizza, milk, yogurt, cheese, prepared meat, -fish and other prepared foods and little or no fruits, you will definitely experience withdrawal symptoms. Your body has adapted to these morphine-like molecules on a daily basis, and once you stop sedating your body that intensively, you will begin to 'notice that you have organs', and that they also are sensitive to bad foods. You will soon be able to 'feel' what foods are good for you and what foods are not.

6. Choose the products with high-quality fats and avoid any munch-food products that contain hydrogenated fats (because of the trans-fatty acids). This includes "partially hydrogenated soybean oil" which translates to more trans-fatty acids. If the label does not specifically state that the product contains real cream butter only, it contains bad fat. You can prepare your own munch-foods, or you can also buy whatever you like – cream cookies, butterscotch cookies, carrot cake or chocolate chip cookies. Avoid any munch-food products that contain hydrogenated fats.

Here are some photos of what my skin looks like 2 days into the diet already....

STILL NO PIMPLES lol.gif

This is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe this is working for me

I did get a small blackhead but that is nothing.
I normally get like at least 2-3 new pimples a day or 10 in a week.

I will post more photos soon to update my progress.

Sounds like you're eating next to no protein. Be careful with that, though I'm interested to hear how it goes...

I completely disagree with this line of thinking. Your body may have a tough time digesting protein due to low stomach acid or another cause; BUT the reason your not getting any new acne on the regime in my opinion is a dramatic reduction in calories.

In either case, keep us updated on your progress, it will be interesting to see how this goes.

Lastly, two weeks isn't enough time to make a solid judgment on any routine.

Wait..... so you think acne is caused by a increase of calorie intake???? eusa_naughty.gif

Yea alot of people dont believe in the water retention idea when it comes to acne...Shit i did not believe it myself for 2 years. But now that i have been on this diet and have saw dramatic improvement, it kind of correlates with all the other diets that I have attempted.

YEA...sorry about my diet description. Its not really detailed nor even that right. I eat brazil nuts also in my diet which contains much protein.

The idea of this diet is to limit myself from eating altered proteins or proteins that have been heated and/or frozen which destroys the amino acids in the food that your body needs to even form the proteins within the body itself.

  • This types of altered proteins
  • increase insulin levels from high blood sugars
  • And salt from things like process foods

All of this factors are contributers to water retention in the body which can ultimately cause acne or severe acne if you have a over production of sebum.

And lastly, Im not making a SOILD judgment, just a reasonable judgment in two weeks time biggrin.gif

Yes, it is working because you reduced your calorie intake. That isn't good and won't last long. As soon as you go back to eating normally (which you will since you will be hungry), don't be surprised if you break out.

Have you tried going paleo?

So you can tell i have not really gotten to many new pimples besides from like 3 small ones.
So overall i believe that this diet is worth continuing since nothing has gone wrong yet.

Well there are many different causes for acne; but its specific to each individual, which is exactly why one routine that works for 5 people, won't work for the next person.

Anytime you dramatically reduce your caloric intake you should see an improvement in your skin.

Now I will say that if you do have low stomach acid as I mentioned, then you might want to look into supplementation of HCL and Digestive Enzymes. The key is to find which foods trigger your acne and then figure out IF there is an underlying cause to that issue (candida, leaky gut, etc).

Your acne looks mild, hopefully it keeps improving.

Keep us posted on this routine.

Ok Im done with this diet...I have already prove to myself what my main cause of acne is (Proteins).

So now I will try to keep my diet steady still but add more foods to it that I want to eat. When ever I consume a large protein meal I will take HCL pills to help the digestion. I will also start to take some zinc pills to help rid of these damn scars that i have.

Final results

I am a little concerned about this as well. While going vegetarian has it's benefits for many acne sufferers, a body needs protein in order to function.

A well balanced diet is the key to health, not one simply consisting of fruits.
