Ok everyone I just recently started having problems w/ mild acne w/ in the past 2 years of which I have never had before in my life so I went to my Dr. and she put me on Monocyline 50 for 3 months of which has completely cleared up my skin but my question is How many people have this med actually worked for getting rid of acne for good or is this just a waste of my time. It seems like this med is only good short term then once you stop taking it you will break out again. Am I hurting myself for nothing? Has this worked for anyone? When I'm done w/ the three months am I going to break out again?
Has anyone ever been cured from Monocycline?

Since you have mild acne, I would actually recommend stopping the Minocycline and just use a topical, like plain 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream or gel, or Retin-A. I don't mean to scare you, because in no way does this happen to everyone, but there is a chance that your acne could come back worse once you come off or become immune to the Mino. If you want me to explain, just PM me. And yes, antibiotics are only temporary solutions.
