I've never really dealt with severe acne, but I do get mild to moderate breakouts. As far as prescription-grade topicals go, I've used klaron, benzaclyn, and differin. Those actually made my skin worse. I also tried eurithromycin, which wasn't very helpful. Minocyclin worked well for me, but since it's an antibiotic, my body built up an immunity to it over time. A small dosage of Accutane made my skin gorgeous, but the side effects (horrible headaches, body aches...and wondering if my involuntary muscle spasms were possibly caused by Accutane) are too great to try it again. I considered it when my skin suddenly broke out a couple of months ago, but I knew I didn't want to go through all of the side effects, monthly blood tests, and taking birth control all over again. SO, I decided to try Max Clarity. I've been using it for over a month now. After a week of using it, I thought: "This shit isn't going to do anything. It's just making more zits on my face. I should just be patient though. This is just the purging process. Hopefully this won't last long." It didn't last long. This stuff has been working VERY well for me. It's even getting rid of red marks that I've had for a couple of years! The only thing that sucks is that two of my bottles (the cleanser and the treatment) seem to be broken, and they're still half full. Fortunately, I can use the tube of cleanser and my toner bottle still works. If I try really hard though, I can get a tiny bit of liquidy treatment out of the bottle so I can spot-treat if I need to. Overall, I'm really happy with this stuff. I know that everybody's skin is different, but you should give it a try. It's less expensive than the co-pay at most dermatology offices, right? Might as well see if it works for you.

Update!!!

I'm on my second or third week of Max Clarity. I lost track of the weeks because you tend to forget when you have a ton on your mind.

So far, it's working just as long as you moisturize your skin in the morning. I mean, you should also moisturize at night, but I think since you're going to sleep right after you apply, it's okay. The moisturizer I use is Anthony Sport Lightweight Face Lotion SPF 15 in the morning before I leave for the day after I put the products on and it has done wonders to my skin. In the beginning, your skin gets bad but it's purging so your face can get used to the products. Just remember to shake well and use a little bit, even though I know it's hard to since when you release it, a lot comes out. Also, drying wise, the moisturizer should take care of that. Let's see what else, just be persistent and don't give up. Give it a try and continue putting it on no matter what. Don't get up and I'm sure your skin will be clear in no time. eusa_dance.gif

PPS It does bleach your towels. Make sure you use a white towel and not any other color. And make it's smooth and not rough because it might scratch your face. I used a green towel and now it's bleaching it. rolleyes.gif

i have been using max clarity for about three weeks and have not seen any results. in fact just this week(the 3rd week) it has gotten really bad. On my forhead and cheeks i have broken out in almost cystic acne all over these areas. the worst it has ever been! is this normal?

I really need advice. Should i keep using it or discontinue? please help :/

You should keep on trying. You have to be persistent about it. It's hard at first because it leaves your face so dry but eventually it will get better. In the beginning, I was breaking out because it was "purging" but in the end, you just have to stay on the long run. I think it also depends on how much you use and make sure you use a different white towel, not the one you take a shower with, also.

Does the foam still bleach clothes??

It says on the bottles that it will bleach clothes. But working with foam is much easier than liquids it doesnt run out of your hand or anything. Today is my thrid day using the product and i haven't had any problems with any bleaching.

It actually bleached the towel I was using.

Okay I hate to tell everyone this and I'm so pissed off! I posted about Max Clarity back in July and it was working awesome. I mean it was clearing my skin beautifully. Unfortunately I don't know if I jinxed myself, but its not working anymore. I had a feeling from the begining that this would happen. It's actually irritating the HELL out of my face now and making it soooo red. It's leaving my face sensitive and making the pores on my cheeks look huge. I look like I have rosacea. I'm like wtf is this? ARE U SERIOUS? I'm debating on still using it and seeing what happens or sending it back. I am so disappointed because I thought I had finally found something that worked. I have an appointment with my esthetician on thursday for a facial and I'm going to see what she thinks. She honestly will tell me to stop using it. So idk how it's been going for those of you that have been using it for a couple months, but unfortunately be aware this could happen to you! eusa_wall.gif

That is what happened to me too. whistling.gif( It was working for me then a few days ago I started breaking out all over. And plus I had interviews coming up, and thank god they moved it to some other day. I was so afraid to show myself breaking out. It sucks. In the beginning, I understand, but I don't know what is wrong with it. Im trying not to put moisturizer this morning and see what happens since I started breaking out yesterday. It sucked because where I work, I have to deal with students and people all the time. and yesterday I had to train new people, it was so embarrassing, because you feel it breaking out too. whistling.gif( I'm hoping it gets better soon.

Did anyone else see the Max Clarity Foam commercial on your tv?
It says unlike many other acne treating gels and lotions, the foam penetrates in the skin instead of just sitting on top and irritating your healthy skin.
So this foam is suppose to work better because the skin, I guess soaks the foam up unlike the gels and lotions. I don't know if it's legit, but the treatment consists of two different types of foam.
One bp and the other salicylic acid. Has anyone tried it?

I'm just wondering if it really works, but it's most likely the same way as murad and proactiv. They have ads on tv that look really good, but the product sucks.

Hey I've just wanted to let everyone know that this product does work in about two days I saw results and im not like those tv ads that say drastic results but if your like me you know your face well. This product worked so good for me because its not drying unless you put to much of it and its only two steps. I've tried murad, clean and clear, all non perscription acne kits, and proactiv but some were to strong and some were to weak. Proactiv worked for me but it took some time because it was harsh on my face. BUT proactiv if you didn't have an auto order that it keeps sending it idk if some people had this same problem but I know a few that did. Proactiv when I didn't hav any left my pimples came back so bad I had never had huge pimples befor I used proactiv. My cousin is still on it because she has no other choice it works if you have the money to keep it ordering.now back to MAX CLARITY it worked fast for me but not everyone is the same it may take a month to see real good results. Another thing I really would like to share for people that don't know what REALLY I MEAN REALLY HELPED MY SKIN WHILE I WAS ON MAX CLARITY WAS JUST NATURAL ITEMS. WHAT I DO IS ONLY IN THE MORNING I PUT 100% PURE HONEY ON MY FACE FOR 15 MINS THEN I WASH IT OFF AFTER I WASH MY FACE WITH THE MAX CLARITY FOAM CLEANSER AND THEN PUT ON THE MAX CLARITY MORNING SOLUTION. ALWAYS MOSTURIZE WHEN YOUR DONE AT NIGHT I HAVE ANY TYPE OF EXFOLIATOR IT DOSENT HAVE TO BE EXPENSIVE AND DO IT TWICE A WEEK. AFTER THAT I USE THE MAX CLARITY CLEANSER AND THEN AFTER THAT I PUT ON THE MIRACLE TREATMENT THAT HELPED ME FACE SO MUCH THE NAME SHOULD BE HEAVEN IN A BOTTLE ITS CALLED AFRICAN BLACK SOAP IT HAS TO BE 100%. WHAT I HAVE IS THE LIQUID KIND YOU CAN BUY AT A WHOLE FOOD MARKET IT WORKS SO GOOD. OH AND DON'T BE FOOLED BY IMPERSONATORS MAKE SURE TO READ BECAUSE THERE IS NO CHEMICALS WHAT SO EVER. THE COLOR IS DARK BROWN BUT ANYWAYS THAT'S IS A BIG MUST HAVE IF YOU WANT TO BE CLEAR GET THAT IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ALSO SORRY TO GO BACK AND FOURTH THE HONEY WORKS WITH REDNESS AND THE BLACK SOAP CLEARS THE DEAD CELLS ON YOUR FACE AND REDUCES THE PIMPLES SIZE. WHEN MY MAXCLARITY RAN OUT I STARED TO GET STRESSED AND MY PIMPLES CAME BACK SO WHEN I GOT THIS IT CLEARED ME UP DRASTICALLY I N ABOUT FOUR DAYS SERIOUSLY. BACK TO THE ORDER AFTER THE MAX C CLEANSER I PUT THE BLACK SOAP ON WHILE MY FACE IS KIND OF WET AND TAKE VERY SMALL AMOUNT AND PUT IT ON MY FACE TO DRY LEAVE IT THERE AND WASH IT OFF IN THE MORNING. THEN JUST FOLLOW WITH THE NIGHT SOLUTION FOR MAX C. SORRY I WROTE A LONG STORY BUT I JUST REALLY WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IF YOUR STRESSED ABOUT YOU SKIN IT MAKES YOUR FACE WORSE. WHEN YOUR ON MAX CLARITY PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOUR PIMPLES REDUCE IN SIZE IF IT DOSE GOOD JOB ITS WORKING AND YOUR ON A PATH TO A CLEAR FACE. ELIMINATE YOUR STRESS AND IT WILL WORK FAST TRUST ME IT DID WONDERS FOR ME AND FOR THOSE WHO THINK MY FACE IS CLEAR AND IM JUST LUCKY NO MY FACE IS ALMOST CLEAR BECAUSE I JUST FOUND THIS METHOD A TWO WEEKS AGO AND BEEN ON MAX CLARITY FOR THREE MONTHS. DRINK ALOT OF WATER, BE HAPPY ABOUT LIFE BECAUSE YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE, DON'T EVER TOUCH YOUR FACE AFTER YOUR DONE WITH THE PROCESS, KEEP ALL HEAD HAIR AWAY FROM FACE,AND DON'T FORGET TO GET THE 100% AFRICAN BLACK SOAP SOME SAY GHANA AND NIGERIA. I WILL REPEAT THE FACE PROCESS ONE MORE TIME

MORNING
PUT 100% HONEY ON FACE LEAVE FOR 10 TO 15 MINS
WASH FACE WITH MAX C CLEANSER
PUT ON MAX C MORNING SOLUTION
MOSTURIZE

Nighttime
EXFOLIATE DON'T TWICE A WEEK ONLY
WASH FACE WITH MAX C CLEANSER
WHILE FACE IS A LITTLE WE APPLY LIQUID BLACK SOAP TO FACE AND LEAVE ON
USE MAX C NIGHT SOLUTION
MOSTURIZE

IF YOUR SKIN DRIES STILL DON'T WORRY I RECOMMEND BUYING 100% AFRICAN SHEA BUTTER IT CAN HAVE A ADDED SCENT IT DOSENT MATTER IT JUST NEEDS TO BE 100% SHEA BUTTER IT CAN HAVE A VANILLA SCENT ADDED IT WONT MATTER

BUT ANYWAYS THAT'S IT SORRY AGAIN IT WAS SO LONG REPLY AND TELL ME HOW EVERYTHING IS GOING IF STILL NO LUCK USE EVERYTHING THE SAME BUT MAYBE INSTEAD OF MAX C I WOULD RECOMMEND EXPOSED SKIN TRWATMENT I READ SOME GOOD REVIEWS ABOUT THAT THANKS FOR READING HAVE A GOOD DAY

Ordered this product for my 15-yr old son to treat backne and chest acne. It does not work for him at all. The company also 'autoships' before your 60-day trial is up, a second shipment of product whether you want it or not. Apparently the autoship agreement is located on the product webpage, although I did not see it when I placed the initial order, nor can I locate it after being told that it was part of the terms I agreed to when I bought the trial product. So now I must pay to ship back a product I did not order to begin with.

I was unable to find information regarding the 'active ingredients' of each individual product prior to purchase or we would never have tried this product. The ad for MC would have you believe they have discovered a magic combination of salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide to cure everyone's skin problems. I should have known the lack of information was indicitive of a product that preys on peoples hopes that they have finally found THE answer, but realistically was no better than what's already out there.

The FACTS are that the MC treatment IS NO DIFFERENT than many of the OLDER OTC products that have been around for years, with the exception that it is delivered in the current rage style, that is to say, a 'foam' product, which some persons find more appealing to use. If you fully research the active ingredients you will find that 2.5% Benzoyl isn't strong enough to do anything for anything but the mildest pimple problem, and 2% SA isn't anything new and different and certainly can be purchased MUCH CHEAPER in many different forms at your local supermarket (i.e. Walmart, K-Mart).

Benzoyl Peroxide is designed to dry up a blemish. Salycylic acid is a mild debriding-type agent - the effect being to remove the top layer of 'guck' -oil & skin cells. There are several good and inexpensive products in cream form that will accomplish what Max Clarity claims it can do. My recommendation is "Don't waste your money on this product."

2 Days Update:

Just used this product for 2 days and a half, didn't see much difference.

I had very bad acne problem since this March as I remember, I've tried TBS tea tree kit and Murad acne kit, sometimes it works a little bit to the new acne. But it still keeps having new acne on the face, I'm very upset about it. I tried to eat light and have more exercise, didn't see much help yet. Now my skin is uneven with several pimples. I have to put makeup before I head out..

After the Deep Cleanser, it feels dry, but not too bad. The toner and Acne treatment really speed up the new acne growing, like a day and a night, it's ready to be washed off. I like the toner better than the Acne treatment. The toner could be absorbed entirely, but the treatment would leave some white stuff on the skin when it's completely dry. So when I put moisturizer after that, the white stuff keeps on the skin... anyone knows how to deal with it?

I'll keep everyone updated for later progress.

So I've tried soooooooooo many different Acne products. I've been using AcneFree Severe for like 3 years only to discover my skin is slowly getting immune to it and is getting worse (this is getting ridiculous because this happens with everything I've tried, I'm almost 30!!). Acne Free uses 10% benzoyl peroxide with an alcohol toner and a retinol lotion. It has worked great before or the most part, but again, I always have at least 1 or more zits so I've never been 100% clear. The Sulfur mask by Acne Free worked GREAT for about 5 months, now it's not hepful at all. I've been thinking about trying something new and different and when I saw Max Clairty ads I got excited. Only to discover it has a LOWER BP, like 2.5%? So if the 10% BP in Acne Free isn't working for me, whose to say Max Clarity will? The only thing I think MIGHT make a difference is the salicylic acid and the fact that it's foam. All I know is, I want something different that will continue to work for a long time. What makes salicylic acid so great anyways? I really want to order it, but I just wanna know if someone else has had similar experiences with BP? Thanks! eusa_think.gif

Like you, I am curious about the Max Clarity. I am 34 and have been dealing with an oily acne t-zone. I have used Proactiv over 5 years ago - 1st time worked great, but I had to stop due to pregnancy. Trying it again, but I am not seeing improvement with the system alone. However, I did notice that when I use Proactiv in the morning and Neutrogena deep clean oil free make-up remover cloths at night, there has been some positive results (acne cyst shrinkage). The ingredients in the Neutrogena include salicylic acid, which based on my reading on this site has said the combination is great - use BP (2.5%) in morning, SA at night.

I am going to continue to try the daily combination of both BP and SA for a while.

Good Luck in finding something that works!

I've been using it for 3 weeks now. 1st week it started to get rid of some small white heads and closed comedomes. Stopped working on the 2nd week. It's really weak stuff. The cleanser is a joke seriously. Its like rubbing water on my face

Anyways look for my regime if you get a chance.

Also I'd like to add I only spent $20. So It's no biggy. It was worth the shot for $20. Just make sure you cancel right after you get the package or you will be paying A LOT more.

I'm 20 years old and I've had acne since I was about 15 or 16. It's gotten pretty old. It's just mild to moderate acne. I just started MaxClarity because I'm honestly to the point of no return to my skin a few years ago and I was seeking for anything different. I've never heard of foam until I saw this on tv. I ordered it last week and started yesterday. I'm hoping it will work, but the thing is, is that you get 60 days to try it and if it does nothing for you or makes it worse you can send it back and get your money back. That's pretty much 2 months to see if it works, so I went for it.

I have a few question. For those of you who use MaxClarity, do you following the morning and evening regimen or do you follow what the bottle says to do. It confuses me a lot and just starting out I don't wanna mess it up. It says to use the Advanced Acne Treatment and Toner (both are step 2) 1-3 times a day on the bottle, but in the morning/evening regimen it just has two steps. How can you use them both 1-3 times a day unless you use them together? The regimen doesn't say whether to use them together. Anyone know? I appreciate any suggestions. smile.gif

Thank you!

Sooooo, after about two weeks using Maxclarity - I have this to report:

1) it does NOT irritate my skin at all. There was a bit of dryness the first day or so, but my skin was fine within about 3 days

2) easy. not 100 gels, face washes, scrubs....and no pills (which I hate) just use the foam, and whatever else you'd normally use. i did get the 'free' face wash, which seems to work fine (although I don't use it every day so I can't really say).

3) It's only been a couple of weeks, but I can say that it seems to be working. My skin is usually very dry (from so many products) or very oily, from not wanting to use those products, and now, it is looking good. Well, better than before at least. 70% improvement - I haven't had any breakouts, and the zits that I do have are starting to fade.

Has anyone tried tanning? I've heard that helps a lot, but tanning beds aren't usually my thing ;-)

I've actually tried tanning. It's helped me a lot. What it does is diminishes scarring by letting your face or any skin peel. Even if you don't peel the skin is darkened and reduces pimple production. It dries out the pimples and makes them a lot smaller. That's what I've heard and it seems true after trying it.

Just a few things that I know is that BP attacks the bacteria on the skin so that it doesn't reproduce to make more acne. The SA is what clears your pores. Now what the site says about MAX Clarity is that it is supposed to be absorbed into the skin instead of sitting on the surface and irritating your skin....now if its works I am not sure. I just got my package in and I am excited to try it. My mom bought it for me. But what I have been reading is that CLEARPORES is suppose to work really well. This uses SA but I don't think that it uses BP. But what it does add is a tablet that is suppose to help clean out your system from the inside out. This is important. So when you try the max clarity you might want to try to add some type of skin vitamin with it. Zinc is supposed to be good for the skin. I am going to try to put something together...I'll let you know how it works out

i have been on max clarity for about 2 and a half weeks. i came to this site to see what the reviews were on this product. they seemed to be all positive, unlike all the other acne meds i've read about. this product has visibly worked sooooo well for me. it cleared up my skin in the first 3 days. i have moderate to severe acne and now all i get is small blackheads, which who doesn't have?? the ONLY negative thing i have to say about this product is it dries out my face really bad. i have to apply facial lotion at least twice every day. but i would so rather deal with dry skin the ugly acne any day. i would def recommend this product.

Max Clarity is the real deal!

My acne is moderate, I get white heads every now and then and some pimples. My face cleared up a bit and skin tone much brighter after 2 weeks.

I've used acne.org's "The Regimen" but think Max Clarity is superior. My face cleared up much quicker and 4x easier to apply (I think rubbing your face with the benzyl peroxide for 15 minutes is ridiculous) with the foam "technology".

Max Clarity + Dan's New Moisturizer = the Ultimate Regimen in my opinion..

Okay, I just joined to give people who may be considering this product an unbiased "real customer" update and expeience. I chose this board because this was board I checked to see other reviews before I even ordered the product.

I have what I would called moderate to sever acne. I am 34 years old and I have the adult cystic acne nodules at times and my face is always in a constant state of "breakout" and i have extremeley OILY OILY skin. I mean so oily, where I can push my nose or other pores on my skin and visible white "oil worms" will come out [YUCK]!

At any rate, I ordered my Max Clarity and it came like two days after. I applied it for the 1st time on Septemeber 4, 2010. Now, being 34 years old and having acne all my life, I was not expected much if anything at all....and other than smooth feeling skin, that is exactly what I got NOTHING AT ALL!!! until about a week and a half ago, I noticed, while me skin still very oily, I didn't have ANY visible acne....no pimples, no whiteheads or blackheads or anything no blemishes... now granted I am going to be honest and say that I DO NOT USE this medication as directed primarily because after dealing with my children I am so tired that alot of times I fall asleep on the couch, so I've only did the nightime routine maybe 3 times at the most! and I am, mad at myself because like i stated, up until the other day, I did not have so much as a blemish, but this past Saturday night, i decided I would give the nighttime routine another try and I broke out because I have come to the conclusion that my skin hates Salyicylic Acid... so I currently have one pimple and I KNOW its because of salicylic acid..so I have put the salycylic acid treatment [the one with the yellow top] in my box of rejects...LOL

At any rate, I think Max Clarity works, but I think you have to give it time, and I think it works on different levels for different people. So if you are thinking about trying it out, I suggest that you do, but just give it about 2-3 weeks to really "kick in" and like I said I did not do the nightime treatment as directed, so it may even work quicker if you do use as directed.

Right now, even with the one little pimple I have, I can say that my skin has not been this clear in a LONG time.....so next step is to get some Oralight pills to help even my skin from all the pock marks and scars....

Also, I also work in a once a week facial using Queen Helene's Oatmeal and Honey exfoliating mask and follow it by the Mint Julep mask and my daily oil free mosturizer I use is Neutrogena for Combination skin. Even with healthy skin its imporatant to exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin cells and with us that have acne, we must exfoliate at least once a week because if we leave the dead cells on our skin too long, it will clog our pores and aid in the development of the acne. One last thing, I forgot to mention that I noticed the results when I doubled up the cleasning foam with the foaming acne wash...that's when I really noticed some change...when I blended these two together....

I hope this posts has help somebody.....
