Still, I'd like to see that overdue dream...
Song Credit: "A New Life" - Jekyll and Hyde

Day 1

Hey! biggrin.gif So, today was kinda my first full day of my whole regimen thing. (minus Retin-A, which haven't arrived)

Asides from washing my face morning and night with Cetaphil moisturizing soap, I put on a little bit of .5% Aczone then Moisturize with Neutrogena non-comedegenic moisturizer and I take one Minocycline (50 mg) with my breakfast.

School/various things happen and I get home and at around 7pm I take another minocycline (No worries, I'm supposed to take it 2x a day)
Wash my face with Cetaphil once more, Aczone and hopefully when my Retin-A comes I'm supposed to use that stuff on my body acne + face.

Clearing my face/body acne up will def. help me with the confidence I need to present myself for auditions, not to mention to other people.

So, day one...not much has happened...How are you guys? biggrin.gif

Currently Listening to: "What a Feeling"-Flashdance
((I'll have these...see if you can listen to them if you want. biggrin.gif BUT YOU HAVE TO TELL ME A SONG THAT YOU WANT ME TO LISTEN TO! It'll help us all get exposed to new songs and stuff and have common songs/music that we can talk about.))
Movie I Need to watch: Macbeth
((Tell me a movie that you guys like, and I'll see if I can watch it. biggrin.gif
It'd be cool too interact with you guys as opposed to you reading this and saying "Oh, that's nice" and being bored.))

Hey, good luck on your journey. I have just figured that you and I are doing similar stuff. I am having two 50mg Minocycline tablets a day too, I just started yesterday.

Haha, yeah. It is a good thing. We'll stay in touch. Look at each other logs, share experiences, that would be great. By the way hows your acne, what type of acne have you got?

I have mild acne to say the least but it flares up when I'm stressed out. How about you?

Mine is probably moderate, edging on to moderate severe though, I guess. All on the nose and a bit on the chin. My cheeks are completely clear, it's the bloody nose!

Day Six...more or less.

I looked at myself in the mirror with my glasses on (I'm nearsighted) and I smiled. That hasn't happened in the longest time.

I'm clearing up a lot on my face thanks to the Aczone. (And possibly the Minocycline?) I'm also decreasing how much milk I drink...I still need to drink some for the calcium/ I put milk in my protein shakes because the TKD is taxing on the bones.
Plus, I like drinking milk.

I'm also trying to work out more because I felt so relaxed afterward...well, I guess everyone does. But still. tongue.gif

Sorry if that sounded mean in anyway...I've had painful breakouts on my chin before and I was just hoping that for you they weren't painful. D:

Aczone is a topical I was prescribed. It's .5% Dapsone and I put it on in the morning and at night. whistling.gif)

No, it's okay, no harm done! biggrin.gif Oh, okay, I looked that up, it seems good. I'm using Epiduo at the moment, it's a combination of 0.1% Adapalene and 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, I use it now twice a day. Have you heard of that before?

Day Something... Lost Count...Oops.

My Retin-A finally came today! biggrin.gif

My Acne has kinda had this stand-still thing...but...hopefully that will all change soon. There haven't been any whiteheads, though a stupid little cyst has decided that it was cool to just pop up at random, because it can just do whatever it wants. That's totally fine... eusa_wall.gif

Anyway, today I thought of writing something that explained how I felt with acne but I really couldn't explain it. It's so weird how we know what we feel but we can't explain it to others... :/
eusa_whistle.gif Acne, Acne, go away...come back NEVER.... eusa_whistle.gif

Mumble: Yes, I have heard of those...I think... eusa_eh.gif ... tongue.gif

Hope ya'll are having a good day!

Oh, okay, cool. It's awesome that you got you Retin-A! What brand is it and how long have you been waiting for it?

It's a generic brand. I'd have to go see -scrambles up her stairs cause she forgot the name- It's Treto .05% My Derm. told me to only apply it twice a week for the first two weeks, then three times, etc. I've been waiting for about a month confused.gif But here we go! biggrin.gif I'm pretty excited for the results, minus the...initial breakout... D:

How's the Epiduo twice a day going/minocycline? biggrin.gif

So, far I've had a couple of painful pimples under the skin, I think that is because I have started with the Minocycline and possibly the Epiduo, but hopefully it will get better, thanks.

Day...What...8 or Nine? xD

Ok, so last night I got back from TKD and took my shower, washed my face, such and such. And I noticed something rather odd... MY FOREHEAD IS SO CLOSE TO BEING CLEAR. I seriously just jumped up and down in happiness! biggrin.gif And hopefully I'm getting my hair trimmed soon so I can ask for a cool bang style... biggrin.gif Otherwise, no other improvements really. Tomorrow is my second day using Retin-A.

How are you guys? biggrin.gif

Day 13

I have been using my Retin-A sparingly, and my IB period has begun. It's actually a lot worse than I expected. My forehead, which was clear now has two huge pimples on it. GAHHH. And my right side (which is always my worst) has gotten pretty bad...not like...cysts and such but bad enough to make me a little sad inside, and noticing that a freaking FRESHMAN DOESN'T MEET YOUR EYE BUT LOOKS AWAY MAKES ME WANT TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE. Yes, he had clear skin. No, I'm not sterotyping. It just ticks me off. I have acne, but that doesn't mean I don't have feelings. Grr. Should have told him that that's what happens when you don't meet peoples eyes... >.> *mischievousness* wink.gif

Well, to look on the bright side that means that it's working, am I right? biggrin.gif And I've been on it for a week, so only three more weeks to go! Yaay. biggrin.gif I'm not going to let this upset me more than it should.

Thanks Arthur. smile.gif I have yet to see that musical. I really want to though, but first I have to see Young Frankenstein. tongue.gif

I know. I just hate being treated like I'm not a special person, which I know I am. Everyone's special. biggrin.gif My hair isn't long enough yet. ;P

Thanks again. biggrin.gif The good news is my pomade acne ( jawbone acne) is clearing up nicely. biggrin.gif

Day 24 (Best show ever)
Okkk...So far, so good I guess. IB has calmed down a little bit, only my left side hasn't improved every much. :/
The itty bitty body acne I have is pretty much gone, which makes me very happy. eusa_dance.gif

Also, my right side is more just, if anything, more scarring than acne. Like the little colored dots on your face. I feel like I'm from Max Lucado's "You Are Special" xD in a good way!!! If you've never read "You Are Special" you should. smile.gif Great Christian message, cute kids book. biggrin.gif That's all for now!!! Bye guys!!!! smile.gif <3
