Hey man - good luck with the antibiotics! I hope they work!
AND you have a VERY cool avatar picture. Muse is one of the greatest bands ever!

I couldn't agree anymore! What avatar were you talking about? The Resistance album or the Absoultion album? ;-) And thank-you, I really wish the antibiotics will work, they haven't yet.

Day 40

Sorry it's been a while since I last updated. tongue.gif Since the last time I officially updated (which was Day 23) much hasn't really changed. Though on the 18th of February I stopped consuming cow's milk, in only drinking it and having it for cereal. I have continued to not drink or have it with cereal since then. Today I got Phisohex Anti-Bacterial Wash. I now use that as my cleanser.

As overall with my acne, there is no improvement worth to note, sadly. cry.gif

Sorry that you aren't having any results so far. I know for some people it takes 2 or 3 months before they see anything, but for others it doesn't even work after 3 months. When is your next derm visit?

I just finished my first month of pills todays. I'm not clear, but have seen some results. Still getting new acne, but less than before. And I'm definately less inflamed.

Well that's great to see that's it's working for you Moxie1! biggrin.gif

Um, my doctor prescribed the Minocycline. I have no appointment booked with him at the moment. I will make one with him in the next couple of weeks to see him and see what he thinks. He told me before I started the Minocycline that if the Minocycline doesn't really work, he'll recommend me to one of the dermatologist's down the coast.

You know your not suppose to consume any dairy products 1 hour before or 2 hours after you take this antibiotic? It will not work as good because it will not absorb as much.

Day 60

I went to the GP yesterday for a check up. He gave me new scripts for the Minocycline and the Epiduo gel. After he lanced a cyst sort of pimple on the left side of my nose (it did hurt a little, lol). I didn't ask for him to get rid of it, but he's like "We'll miles well get rid of that." Haha. Which is good because it's been there for weeks. He said overall that it's getting better, even my nose apparenty. But he said to stay on the regimen of both the Epiduo gel and Minocycline and see how I go, because it seems to be working apparently, just really slowly.

Is it normal to still get pimples while on a antibiotics? When i first went to my new derm I was on doryx. I had been on it from Oct 09 - April 10. I was horrible with it though missed so many pills (my acne wasn't bad though, I took as needed) <- Not smart...I know now! I ended up breaking out horrible like severe acne in march and went to a new derm. When she saw me she said I shouldn't have pimples if I'm on doryx?? So shes got me on solodyn now... started on 45mg and after two weeks got 65 mg. I see the acne i had is healing and the inflammation when down a lot!!!! I just got new pimples though ...like alot! & in different areas. Like my cheeks are healing, but now the sides of my face have a ton on acne?? So wierd! I'm wondering if the meds are not working? I'm trying to stick it out for the 3 months! ugh. It will be one month on Solodyn on saturday. 2 weeks of 45mg and 2 weeks of 65mg. People comment that it got alot better...but i just dont see it! lol. If I'm not clear then it's not better...

Even though your in the middle of winter I bet your weather is better than ours right now - It's been raining now for the last 4 days, and it's June!

Anyway, see you around, good luck with the regimen and hope it's all going well for you biggrin.gif

Hey guys. I stopped having Minocycline about 3 weeks ago now. Sorry for not updating. I just had my first 20mg isotretinoin pill like 5 minutes ago. So I'll be making a log in the Accutane logs sometime.

Hey Arcade, yeah Aussie land is going quite well! wink.gif Except we are still in Hung parliament. It's been nearly two weeks after the federal election and we still don't know who our new Prime Minister is. wacko.gif Haha, anyway, how has your part of the world been going? biggrin.gif Oh by the way, I have now got all three of The Strokes albums in my library, Is This It, Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth. They are a good band. I really like their song and video clip for "You Only Live Once", awesome. What album is your favourite by them?

Hehe hi Mumble! I've been inactive for a few weeks now, hit a real low point around May time but since then I've been on Retin-A and my skin's been doing really well. Good luck with your Roaccutane, fingers crossed it really works well for you!

And yes, there is so much talk about the Australian election here, I think because one of the candidates came from Wales and especially as it is so tight! My favourite album is Is This It, and yeah that is such a good music video! My favourite songs are Hard to Explain, Last Nite and 12:51, I even made a lyrics/music video for Last Nite quite some time ago, I think it's floating in the cyberspace somewhere on YouTube lol.

Anyway, good luck again, see you around!

It's great to hear that your skin is in good condition. Thanks Arcade, I hope it does work too. I'll search for the video on YouTube. tongue.gif See ya later.
