Oh come on! Of course one day you will get that satisfaction and joy of looking in the mirror the morning you wake up, with your hair all messy, and your skin as clear as ever! Just keep thinking for that day to come, and it will. Don't give up on whatever you are trying to do to help clear your skin, no matter how much of a bad-skin-day you're having. (I know how that feels too...you just want to burn your face off cause you're so frustrated with it!) Keep your hopes up and running, cause that day will come!

well my story is:
I'm 21 with mild acne and oily skin, but its only mild because i'm on oral and topical antibiotics. Its persistent acne and my immediate family also suffer from persistent acne. I've got a derm appointment on tuesday, hopefully i'll get roaccutane and then get some confidence back. I'm very grateful for your support, but its frustrating when you can only think that some time in the future you might be clear, because each day with bad skin is one less day you have to go out and enjoy yourself

Yeah, I know it's hard to look into the future when you're actually dealing with it. It is some comfort to know that it's not permanent though - if very little. Mine's mild and clearing with antibiotics also, I'm not going to put my life on hold for it, but I completely understand. You have to remind yourself that no one cares or notices half as much as you Goodluck with you derm.

i totally agree, im in the same boat you are. while most kids my age are living for "today", im waiting for the future. im 19, and most people wake up excited about whats going on now, me, im just waiting till im clear again. and it sucks, ive been waiting for too long, i have mild acne, only because of antibiotics, but i also have oily skin, and i really want accutane. i keep telling myself maybe if i was clear i would be outhere with the rest of the world.

But I will never, to be honest. I was disappointed by my complexion even when I got flawless skin because I do not like my NOSE!! I hope to have a face-lifting surgery somewhere... And I also hate my LARGE faces.
