My derm performed laser genesis on me 2 months ago and the area is still dark. He tells me its just inflammation and that it will fade but I DONT TRUST HIM NOW because I was never warned of this. The area is darkened and looks dull under a light. It felt uncomfortable during the procedure, when I have read its supposed to feel relaxing.

I am scared the laser was too hot and I might be permanently scarred. What do I do, I'm scared. PLEASE HELP!

Hi - just curious to know if this darkness ever faded? I'm debating the procedure and want to do extensive research before I commit to it. The doc never told me about any side effects other than mild redness right after the treatment which will fade away within a few hours. thats it!
