Today I will start taking Vilantae

For those who dont know, Vilantae works off the "B5 megadose" theory. It has lots of other vitamins as well as B5 too to help clearing and not cause deficiencies.

So, I will be taking 5g a day for 3 days then moving up to the 10g max.

I expect to see results in around 2-3 weeks.

So today is day one.

DAY 1
Began taking. No side effects immediately evident. I have 2 papules symmetrically on either side of my face, plus lots of other bumps and rough skin.

Feel free to comment and ask questions.

Good luck with vilantae, have you read the B5 sticky thread? Im telling you right now that if your face is generally very oily then you will see improvement but not in 2-3 weeks. More like 1-3 months.

All the best and spread the dose.

Hey.
Yeah I've read parts of the B5 thread and am just hoping that I am one of the ones this works for.

I have a dermatologist appointment in 3 months so hopefully I'll be clear enough by then that he doesnt insist on Accutane.

I think the only issue with this treatmen is that it works out to around AU$100 a month for the first few months. Not good.

Luckily they have a money back guarantee for if it doesnt work... hope I dont have to use that.

Day 4-

So I just finished the 5g dosage and I am starting 10g today.

As you can imagine, I have had no results yet but I was happy today when I woke up with less whiteheads than usual, or course, that wont be from the b5.

I have noticed a "loosening of the stool" but that's about it in terms of side effects.

So thats about all there is to say.

Good luck G-town, i might try it. i am currently using murad acne complex, but it only works as a moisturizer instead of removing the acne plus huge bumps under my skin keep poping up. i think i must try that vilantae for internal cleansing.

Thanks. I think I need luck right now biggrin.gif

I do recommend before going onto Vilantae to look for a cheaper alternative.

The reason I went on Vilantae is that my parents dont want me taking so much of a certain vitamin and that "megadosing" is a word which they relate to "overdosing".

With vilantae they dont know i'm taking 10g of b5 a day and Vilantae is a proper brand made for skin with instructions on what to do.

I may be able to convince them to go for something cheaper eventually. I found this which is very cheap: http://www.puritan.com/b-vitamins-108/pant...mp;sortOrder=2#

Well. Here I am.

It's been a week since I started so I thought it might be a good time to do a bit of an update.

To begin, I have noticed a slight reduction in oil, but nothing significant.
I am breaking out less than I was a few weeks ago, but I doubt that is thanks to the b5.

As for side effects... I am getting the usual "bowel uncomfortableness" but that is pretty much it.

I don't mind taking so many tablets because they are capsules and very easy to swallow (even without water).

That is really all I have to say. Hopefully in about a week I will be starting to see results (judged by the times taken to see results in the Treatment Reviews).

Feel free to ask questions!

Hey G-Town, have you looked into cysteine? Its definitely worth a read up since your on B5. It basically lowers the dosage needed and increases the effectiveness of the B5. http://hubpages.com/hub/Try-The-New-Acne-C...ented-For-Years

@AussieSmile. Thanks for that. Seems like something that could reduce expense by a lot. I'll see if you can get it in any vitamin shops in the area.

As for my skin.Well, I can happily say this is the first day in over a month where I haven't woken up with any new whiteheads!

Of course that doesn't stop my skin from being red, bumpy and fully of blackheads, but still, it's progress.

Day 9...

... and I've broken out.

I think it could have been because of the TTO I applied. I'll leave that to spot treatment next time for sure.

Other than that, whatever my face touches still becomes reflective. FML

Well I have broken out like there is no tomorrow.

All the whiteheads seem to be localized to a specific part of my left cheek which could mean I was sleeping on it or touching it or something.

Other than that nothing else has happened. No side effects and no noticeable reduction in oil.

I'll keep you posted.

From reading the B5 thread when it was the craze, an initial breakout was very probable. You just gotta stick to it but it sounds like you are quite well. Power on bro and good luck!

Hey AussieSmile. Thanks for the motivation.

I really need it right now because I am going back to school on Monday and I am not looking forward to it at all.

Alrighty,

It's been 2.5 weeks and I am really starting to see results.

My face is starting to become smoother and whiteheads are smaller.

I impulsively had a massive Iced Chocolate 2 days ago and I haven't seen any problems with that.. yet.

I think if this clearing keeps going at this rate for another two weeks I should be clear from all but a little hyperpigmentaion.

Everyone who is thinking of trying B5, do it for sure!

A picture tells a thousand words.

The main things to see are no more pus filled annoyances, smoother skin and less oil.

Cant wait for these red marks to piss off.

Edit: I accidentally wrote 2 weeks in rather than 3 weeks in. That is actually my skin after 3 weeks.

Thanks!

It's been great seeing as it has been less than three weeks. I guess its just some evidence for the B5 doubters about what can happen in such a short time frame.

Lets hope it continues this way biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Oh Gawd.

The whole of today I have been developing one of those bloody annoying lip pimples which makes a mass lump on your lip which has a massive head.

Seeing as scarring doesnt matter on lips I have tried "draining" it a bit with a pin which has helped and Ive also taken ibuprofen to reduce inflammation.

Hopefully It will get a bit better by tomorrow.

It has almost been four weeks and I can almost confidently wake up in the morning knowing I wont have to deal with any new shit on my face before school. This is extremely relieving.

Unfortunately the red marks still remain and I do get the occasional bump or lump. But still, it has been less than a month so the real results should happen in the second month.
