I have an experiment for you to try… I make my own moisturizer and have never tried Cetaphil, but this might work.

• Materials

-Bowl
-Spatula
-Whisk
-Funnel
-Something to measure 3oz (a small baby bottle works well)
-4 oz empty bottle

• Ingredients

-Cetaphil lotion
-1oz tube 10% BP Gel
-Jojoba, Grapeseed, and/or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-(optional) Tea Tree Oil and/or Lavender Essential Oil (do not buy from wal-mart. Go to a health food store. Therapeutic grade is best)

• Directions

In a bowl, use a whisk to mix together-

-3oz Cetaphil lotion
-1oz tube 10% BP gel
-2 or 3 tsp oil (jojoba, Grapeseed, and/or EVOO)
-You can add a few drops of TTO and/or Lavender EO if you would like to

Use a spatula and a funnel to empty mixture into an empty bottle.

Now you have a 2.5% BP Moisturizer

------------------------------------------------------------------

You can use this BP Moisturizer any way you like, but I highly recommend this routine-

• At Night-

-Do not wash face with soap or face wash. Just rinse well with water, or follow the Oil Cleansing Method.
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/OIL-CLEAN...Hi-t141871.html

-Use diluted Apple Cider Vinegar as a toner and let it dry. I like a ratio of 1 part ACV to 8 parts water. (never use toners containing alcohol or witch hazle)

-Apply BP moisturizer; avoid the area around your eyes.

• In the morning-

-Gently rinse skin with water.

-Apply ACV toner, let dry.

-Apply BP moisturizer; avoid the area around your eyes.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Tell me how it goes and be sure to bump this post and pass it along!

The problem with that is that certain lotions might not be a good base for BP. The formulas might not be shelf-stable together, so, while the lotion could be good for a few days worth of use, it might not be so good after that.

I'd also suggest a completely opaque bottle. I think BP, like liquid peroxide, is sensitive to light. Maybe wrap it in aluminum foil?

Yep, that's why it's an experiment... the worst you can do is try smile.gif

That is a good idea. You can usually find amber or cobalt blue glass bottles at health food stores (I purchase cobalt blue glass bottles on line).
