Hi there everyone. I'm new to this forum, and interested in nobiletin for treating cystic acne. I understand nobiletin is found in citrus peel, particularly the mandarin citruses such as tangerine. Has anyone tried using mandarin essential oil, neat, or at a lesser concentration? If so, what effect did it have?

Suzanne, there is no research claiming nobiletin has any impact on acne, cystic or not. The excess sebum condition nobiletin may or may not treat is only one (albeit important) factor that fuels the disease.
From my personal experience only isotretinoin (accutane) ever had any impact on cystic acne, though not all of it for the better.
I too often feel that if I could only control sebum then acne would disappear...but there is acne without much sebum, as there is sebum without acne. They are correlated though, and excess sebum is the likely cause for the majority of acne cases (though not the ultimate root cause!).
Just not to end on a down note, today I've placed an order for the nobiletin active. I plan to use it at a 2% dilution, and come back with my own unscientific appraisal; it will be a while (a few weeks). Don't ask for status updates.
