Here's the thing. Every night after I take a shower, I like to squeeze the visible white gunk (sebum) out of the pores on my nose. I like to do this because it seems to have had a positive effect in staving off breakouts ever since I first started.

But I'm afraid that all this squeezing will result in long-term damage to my skin. I've already bruised myself several times, and I just recently noticed a few small broken capillaries where I've been squeezing.

So I'm looking for a product that can dissolve that gunk in my pores chemically instead of me having to extract it manually, if such a thing exists. Is there a product that will do this? Is that what salicylic acid is supposed to do?
