I realise this is similar to the "NOT WASHING YOUR FACE" thread but I want to start my own.

I have been diagnosed woth Folliculitis barbae which is extremely similar to acne and after f-cking around with my skin I have just learned that little is more.
I am due to come off a Minocycline which i have been on for 8 weeks tomorrow and I want to start a new regimen.

I shower one a day everyday for about 5 -10 minutes and I am only going to allow the water from that to rinse my skin.
I WILL NOT PICK MY SKIN. EVEN WHEN I HAVE DISGUSTING WHITHEADS!
AND NO TOPICAL SUBSTANCES OF ANY KIND.

I have sensitive/dry skin so I shouldn't be worried about the oil factor.
I haven't been able to shave in 2 months with this Folliculitis infection so hopefully soon enough i will. In which case I will only use a mild shaving foam for sensitive skin. I shave about every 3-4 days.

DAY 1
A few spots on my forehead: kinda red bumps moreso.
Nose has blackheads (as usual) and is a little oily.
Mouth area is pretty bad, BLOODY STAPH INFECTION! I got about 10 zitty things, lovely whiteheads all around my mouth, mostly in the corners of my lip.
Under my nose I got 1 really itchy spot that i will not touch.
My cheeks are fairly clear, one of 2 little whiteheads
Neck has one small spot.

I am off to bed now, will update in about 5 days, maybe a week.

DAY 2
I know i said i wouldn't update for a week but i'm bored.
So far so good. All those spots around my mouth are beginning to heal up.
I am surprised at how oily my forehead is and I still have that nasty spot on my brow but overall I think it looks better. There are people in my class with as oily skin as me at the moment and they're skin is pretty damn good so maybe they just dont bother to cleanse it either.

My skin overall is sorta rough and flakey I'm going to leave it alone though.
I do have a 10 minute shower every morning and allow for water to pour over my face but I make sure not to let shampoo go near it. And I confess it could not resist popping the spot on my neck. Its all good though.

I'm attempting something similar to what you're doing. I'm just using a cleanser for now, but I might switch to nothing. Maybe just water? I've just used BP for a few months and on and off for at least 3 years with no longterm results, so I completely gave up on everything. Maybe this will let my face heal on its own.

Good luck!
