I've never blogged or posted anything on a forum before but here it goes. I felt I needed to this b/c I know I lot of people have spent a lot of time and money over their acne issues; maybe crying in mirror or over the phone to friend. Thinking... is this vain? Should I just accept what's been handed to me? Well I say, "Do not go gentle into that good night..."! ;-)

With the onset of cystic acne at the age of 30 I tried many acne solution products. I paid for many visits to my dermatologist and endured 6 months on Accutane (it gave me Acid Reflux). All worked very little or not at all. Every time I saw a Pro Active commercial I wanted to throw something at the TV! Been there, done that and FAIL!

I've always thought to myself that if I found something that worked even if required a daily regimen for the rest of my life I would do it! I work out several times a week b/c I want to be healthy and strong so if I just found something....anything!

Now I do take into account that I've only been on the acne.org regimen for 2 weeks but so far this regimen has literally healed my face. Among many little pimples that are gone, I had two cysts that are healed, brown spot fading and no sign of a scar! Hallelujah! Nothing, I mean nothing has worked so quickly and efficiently as this regimen. How long will this last? Forever I hope!

So I am saying don't give up! Even if you haven't found what's right for you keep your head up! If you want to keep looking, trying and hoping, do it! It's your skin and no has the right to judge you if you want to keep trying.

I wish the best of luck to those who are on that acne solution path; may you find peace with your skin.

Sincerely,
Gloria

Hello,

I am glad to hear such good news from an Acne.org regiment user. It really gave me hope that I too will be clear by sticking with Dan's regiment. I have been on the regiment for a week now, and I see little improvement. Maybe I am using the wrong products. Could you share the names of your facial products please?

Right now I use Mary Kay Time Wise 3-in-1 cleanser and Mary Kay Time Wise Age-Fighting Moisturizer. I invested in Mary Kay about a year ago and though it's expensive for my budget I find these products to be very gentle and effective. I use the Treatment along with the Mary Kay wash and moisturizer exactly as instructed. The first 3 days I used the recommended Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment until I received the Treatment from Acne.org. I find myself using a bit more moisturizer with the regimen and if things continue to go well I may try the whole regimen package just to save money whistling.gif)

Hi. Your skin looks really great from your profile pic. I just recently aquired an explosion of chin acne. I'm thinking it was from stopping the proactiv i had used for years. It was no longering keeping my acne at bay. i'm thinking it was inevitable. I had been able to keep it at bay, so i don't know what happened. i started using organic products so not sure if that attributed to the problem. I went to a derm who right now has me on 1x 100mg of doxy and 4% bp wash. My skin is very dry and flaky. i want to get the regime as bk up but it's hard to tell whta will work for me.My derm said don't use anything else, but its hard to do nothing. she said no makeup(crazy) ive tried to be good but its hard to do what they say when all i want to do is cover it up which really doesn't help. what makeup do you use? I'm 37 by the way and adult acne is the worst. I wish it would just go away and i could go on with my life. My husband and kids are still waiting for me.

I use to wear foundation every day and had no problems with acne in my teens or 20's. Don't know if it was hormonal but acne suddenly hit my face with no mercy. In that photo posted I am wearing no make-up except eye concealer. I was 6 month post accutane and had just broken out with a cyst and I was not happy to see it. I dabbed a bit of my eye concealer to cover it up that day. While I was on Accutane I found Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation. It was the only thing I found that didn't break me out and I felt covered. My Mary Kay rep had acne like me and showed me a photo of herself so I felt safe to use it since her skin looked great. I don't feel the need to wear foundation anymore especially trying the Acne.or regimen. I am seriously loving this regimen and I would recommend you try it especially since I find it economical and pretty easy to maintain.

Things that worked for me? Staying with a good product. Once you find something that works stick with it. I am very picky about keeping my face clean. I change my pillow cases every other day and once I do the regimen I leave my face alone. I do no touch my face unnecessarily; under any circumstances (I learned this the hard way).

Most pics don't show what I like to call the damage or proof of what happened to me but I'm attaching two pics of what my face really looks like in not so flattering light. I can do this now simply b/c I'm happy to have such good results even though I have discoloration and some scars from when my acne started. Trust me it's far better than its ever has been and the regimen has a lot to do with it. Now if I could only get rid of those little black heads whistling.gif)

PS. I use less BP that recommended so my face is less irritated.

Good luck.
