Hi Everyone...This may be a very stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone knew if you can take spironolactone and accutane at the same time. I'd never even heard of spiro until I got on the site, but it sounds interesting. I'm starting my 5th month of accutane, but my face is erupting the week before my period, and it's taking a good 2 weeks to heal from that breakout, then the cycle starts again. So if anyone knows if you can take the spiro with the tane let me know--thanks!
Can you take Spironolactone and Accutane at the same time?

I have read about spiro lessening the IB on accutane so I would say yes.

i was wondering the same thing!!! Im on spiro but i am doubtful that its enough to clear my face. its so bad right now. ive been on tane before and it cleared my skin so beautifully but it came back full force after 2 years. but im liking the other benefits of spiro right now so i dont want to stop it but im thinking of going back to my derm and doing tane because spiro isnt cutting it for me. my reasoning is yaz contains spiro and alot of derms put thier patients on spiro during a course of tane so i think its ok. they are 2 totally different types of medication. spiros hormonal while accutane is concentrated vitamin a. im just hoping when i go back to her for tane she wont cut off my supply of spiro..? i can fill the spiro for a year. ugh what an affair acne is!! so freaking sick of it
