Does spironolactone only work on cystic acne, or all types? Is your acne only considered hormonal if its cystic and you get it on chin/jawline? I do not have cystic acne and I get it randomly in all areas of my face, does that mean spiro will not work for me? If spiro worked for you please reply with what kind of acne you have.

As far as I know, the type of acne you get isn't so much determined by hormones. Spiro should help will all types of acne.

According to Dr. Geoffrey Redmond who wrote "The Hormonally Vulnerable Woman", all acne is hormonal.

I agree with both people above. I think all acne is hormonal. I also think spiro can clear all acne.
