Hey! I was just wondering, for those who have taken Spiro how many of you experienced an initial breakout?! I know some people may have experienced it but I think some people might have not as well. So I am trying to see on a scale those who have had initial breakout on spiro, and those who have not.

Also, how did Spiro effect your hair? I hear it can be very drying and my hair is pretty try. =( Did anyone experience HAIR LOSS? =(

I had a horrible IB within a week. That cleared after I took a 10-day course of Levaquin, only to break out AGAIN just as badly. The second IB cleared and I was happy for a few weeks then I broke out for a third time! Very discouraging but I had read here that it can take up to six months to work. It's only been this past month that I have stayed clear (it will be six months December 1st).

My hair is a LOT drier than it normally is but I just wash it less.

So far, so good.

OH LORD YES!..right now I'm @ the 2 month mark of being on sprio and this is the worst IB ive ever had. I slather on the acne cream at night only to wake up to 6 more pustules. my androgens are on overdirve right now. i dont understand it. all i can figure is when you start spiro your testosterone levels spike or something?! i have more facial hair too which tells me that must be it. well it better calm the heck down pretty soon. ive been on it for 2 months too. the ib started about a week and a half after being on it and it hasnt stopped since. blackheads, whiteheads, pustules, cysts you name it. i dont mean to scare you but for me its been very bad! some people have reported having no ib though
