Sooooooooo....I've never really wrote a post in the welcome section so I'll just do it here surprised.gif
I'm 16 and I come from Italy...too tired to write everything else.

I've had mild/moderate acne for 3 years and Seborrheic Dermatitis (HATE IT!!) for 1 year and I'm just too tired of wasting my money on creams, gels and lotions. I've been going to this dermatologist for about 5 months and the past treatments weren't all that either and since I started school I started breaking out more than usual with hard and red papules. I don't have any scars but quite a lot of red marks. A week ago I went to the derm and told him I wanted Isotretinoin because I'm tired of my life being this way. He told me to do the blood test to check the liver and the blood and well...it was PERFECT. Nothing was out of range. Today I couldn't go to meet him and I sent my mom there lol. She said he let her sign loads of documents. As soon as she had the white paper with the dose and the blood tests she went to my GP and IMMEDIATELY she let him prescribe the thing smile.gif Result I got home today with a 20MG blister. She paid 0.00€ because it's free here.

I'm starting tomorrow and I'll update this almost everyday so follow it fellas =D

1 month = 20MG

Bump! I just swallowed my 2nd pill and I'm already feeling the Seborrheic Dermatitis going down! My oil also decreased by night I know because when I wake up I'm in a bath of oil...

But...

When I woke up I kinda felt my body stiff..other than that nothing...

Has anyone ever woken with this effect?

Could just be coincidence, I can't imagine Accutane having acted that fast with the joint pain. It is a common occurrence, though, and evidently, taking fish oil supplements gets rid of it completely.

You're right Kirbatha but I did feel something different from the other mornings. I also have less flaky skin due to the instantaneous submission of the seborrheic dermatitis

Damn it how can this be!?

Popped my 4th pill today

My skin is now dry and slightly flaky which I'm fighting with Apaisac Emulsion, dry lips (but not so much) with Ceralip and nothing else.

About 5 spots are active right now and the ones before Accutane are now disappearing

=)

Glad to hear you got accutane. I'm trying to get on that too. Do you happen to have any pics of what your skin looked like before you started?

Hey guys thank you for checking my log

As for the pics, I'll try to get 'em ASAP my cam is broken and my cellphone is as old as George Washington so I'm gonna buy a new cam in the next few days!!

I popped my 6th pill today

Ugh 5 spots disappeared and left a very bright red mark...I've never had such bright marks before they were pinkish before now they're so red lol they're probably going to disappear in a year xD

I've got about 6 little spots active

My lips aren't very dry and the only parts of my face which are dry are only the ones where there are spots!!! very weird I thought everything was supposed to dry..Oh well =)

My all face is dry, but on spots, and around spots are extremely dry...

If your spots getting bright marks it means accutane is working for you. I have now some bright red marks too, but i never had them before accutane.
If your face is too dry, and you feel uncomfortable i recommend you wash your face at morning only with water and dont use anything more. It helps me smile.gif

Thank you for the feedbacks! My derm gave me a milk cleansers which smells so good I could eat it but anyway it's supposed to help the dryness in fact when I rub it on the face it takes all the dead skin away =)

Same age, Same problem mate tongue.gif.
Ive spent 3 years going from anti-bio-tics to harsh topicals (I will never directly apply anything to my face again lol, everytime it just got worse)
I figured it was finally time to consider accutane.
Now on my 14th day (40mg)
Having IB right now ha so bleh but eh once its over hopefully just get clearer and clearer.
My lips and skin have been extremely dry. but i drink loads of water to combat the dryness and it seems to help.
I wish you the best of luck smile.gif

Wow, it's working so fast for you. I'm considering going on accutane...

Does Accutane have some other effects other than decreasing sebum production? Like, does it fight the bacteria somehow as well?
