Hi I'm new to this board and I'm posting this hoping to get an answer.. I'm not sure if these are scars or if they will ever go away, in time? Or will they ever go away?

It's extremely frustrating because they aren't zits, acne, or pimples I don't know what they are. I just want a clear face. I have had them for over a few months..

Here is a picture so you can see what I am talking about.

Looks like post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

I've moved this to the Red Marks Left After Acne board, where you can find more information on how people deal with those kind of marks. : )

Ha we got a comedian here.

Thanks for the suggestion and moving it, I was in a rush when I posted it so I wasn't sure if I had posted it in the correct forum.

I'm not doctor but that isn't herpes. lol. I have scars that are similar to that, mine are much more red and all over, so consider yourself lucky. On the otherhand, I'm a girl and can cover them up with make-up. I've tried A LOT of things to get rid of red marks but what I find worked BEST was the Nuetrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. The directions say to apply for a few minutes, but I lathered that stuff up and kept it on over night and honest to God after the first night after washing it off in the morning I noticed a difference. I would recommend that for sure, it's over the counter so it's easy access eusa_dance.gif , (get your mind out of the gutter) and it honestly works.

Murad.com also has a post-acne mark fading peel you could order online but the downfall is you have to pay shipping, my friend bought the skin care system and she said it works, so maybe that fading peel will too? I live in MN so at the Mall Of America I know there is a store that sells Murad products, so maybe if you have a big mall around you, with lots of stores you could pick it up there. The store I saw it in was like an Aveda or somthing like that which mostly supplies make up but also has skin care products.

I have also tried cutting a potato in thin slices and rubbing the slices in circular motions over my face for a couple minutes, (sounds loopy i know eusa_wall.gif ) it might all be in the head but I kind of think that home remedy works too. I have tried numerous things though.

Hope I helped?

Yeah that's not herpes, player don't play with girls that have herpes.

But definitely, thank you for the advice. I was thinking those peels will be the best, also will exercising more speed it up? Because I plan to start working out again and drink loads of water.

I definitely know I am lucky to have it so small, but I need it gone lol. It's not zits or acne anymore but it's just something that'll boost my confidence to top notch. I am going to be doing a lot of things with the press and will be in the media a lot next year so it's important to me to not look like someone took a screw driver and poked me about 10 times all of my chin and below it lol.

But thank you again.
