Ughh.. that's a lot of bullshit to do everyday. It's probably just stalling the actual cause.

Nope, it's not stalling when I'm giving my body what it needs. And as a result, I barely get any acne. My body needs these nutrients and when I don't get it through my diet, taking these supplements have helped me tremendously.

And BS? Nah. It keeps me discipline and I'm acne free smile.gif I'm happy, and that's all that matters tongue.gif

How essential would you say the fish oil is to this regime? I have yet to add them, but thinking about it.

I say the fish oil is necessary. It helps with hormonal acne.

I couldn't say my acne is really hormonal as I am already 23, but it's definitely worth a shot. Using just niacin, zinc, and vitamin A at the moment and my face had been pretty clear last week, but after eating poorly this past weekend I got a pimple. Hopefully I'll continue on the past trend.

congrats on clearing up! thats great news, how old are you? cause it looks like you dont have facial hair, meaning you havnt finished going through puberty. be warned! i was like this to. had flawless skin, then once my manhood really started to kick off at 19 it all changed.

anyway, I have been down the taking 24 pills a day thing and to be honest i would say it does work to a certain extent but then i got sick of taking them all the time. I've got that to look forward to when im old and grey.

the 3 that i would say do the most are vitamin A , zinc, vitamin c

I think balancing hormones is key though tbh

These are the 3 I take, and they've worked damn well. I still get the occasional pimple now and then, but they die off easy, and heal quickly eusa_dance.gif . I'm not asking for perfection, just close, and right now i'm there.

As for the fish oil, to me, it's a hit or miss type of supplement. When I started taking it, I broke out in cystic-like acne. Really inflamed and hard, and painful. It wasn't a lot, maybe 1-2, but every time they died, another would pop up. So i went off it, and poof, they stopped. Others have had similar experiences with Fish Oil.

If you consider taking fish oil and it breaks you out, I would suggest Krill Oil as an alternative, if you still want to give omega 3's a try. It's not as high in Omega 3's, but it's supposed to be more potent.

I'm going to try the fish oil and really hoping it works as I would like for it to help my overall health. Most of my pimples are quick to heal, but not all of them. Some are better than others. My diet could definitely be better, but honestly it doesn't seem to matter all that much with me.

Recently purchased fish oil from Costco. Hopefully it'll help the other pills in helping me. Just like most other things I have tried the niacin, vitamin A, and zinc which gave good results to start but some how my body becomes immune to the vitamins help.

I have a fish oil product containing soy and vitamin D3 containing soybean oil. Should I not take these?

..Please someone let me know because most of my vitamins contain soy or some derivative or vegetable oil.. I need to know if I should stop taking these.

Also, I just got home from rehab, where i couldn't really do anything to help my face.. and now after taking Herpanacine (vit A, E, zinc, selenium, lysine compound) and using the otc variants of dan's regimen, my face seems to be acting out. The zits are noticably different.. a different shade.. but they're still there and some are healing and some are still coming to a head. Could my acne be giving some sort of dying rebellion?

Ask around more on the forum and do some research. I don't have that answer or I'd be more than happy to help.

Thanks anyway though. I'm thinking I should avoid them so I stopped taking them until I can find the same products without those ingredients or someone tells me it doesn't matter.
