I have been on the regimen for about 2 months and my face is very clear now. I started getting chest acne and some on the back of my shoulders a few months ago. It was nothing severe but recently I've been getting bad acne on my chest. It isn't a lot of it but it took weeks for 2 spots to go away and now I have a few more. They are decent size and raised, they look sort of like what a burn would look like. They are painful and get irritated easily. My first 2 went away but seem to of scarred and while these two are slowly minimizing they seem to be doing the same. What type of acne is this and what can I do to prevent it? It could be from the material of my shirt that I wear to work but not sure. Should I go to a dermatologist and get something for it? My shoulder acne is fine now it's just my chest
constant chest acne

sounds like cystic acne if they are large and sore and under the skin. consistent exfoliation and use of a facial mask(i really like the proactiv sulfur mask- i have never tried any other proactiv products as i hear they are shit lol) have really reduced the amount of spots on my chest. what kind of soap are you using to cleanse the area? maybe try wearing a cotton tank under your shirt for a while and see if anything changes.
also, i haven't tried it, but many here have had success with the gold bond extra strength medicated powder- it has salicylic acid which is good for acne treatment.

Can I use AHA+ to exfoliate? I have that and the rest of the regimen. It seems to be healing a decent amount just very annoying. It is starting to peel and the redness/size is decreasing. Should I get it checked out or just if it comes back?

Hi,
I've been following Dans moderate/severe chest acne regimem. So far no breakouts (2nd week in)
But follow his instructions using his products seems to be working for me.
Your symtoms are exactly the same as mine. A few big chest spots that take weeks to go, then more appear and same over....
Good luck and fingers crossed.
