Could someone enlighten me with the infos about how to do needling .I have tried to search but can't find much detail of the procedure ....I mean the video which instructs us how to needle individual scar like the dermaroller video.

how could we use a needle to improve the scar ? It's because in the past , my dermatologist uses a needle to treat my acne and i always think because of this i get scars !

appreciate any reply smile.gif

Hmm ,Thanks dude .

However ,can't seem to find it . What i mean is in the past ,my acnes are treated by neddle and i always see it as a major cause for my scars now . So i should be very careful with this stuff.I want a instruction video like with the dermaroller one ..but can't find it in youtube...

Anyone could link me to the site that has visual procedures ,not just wordly description of needling..

Thanks...

Upp,

still cant find visual aid to this procedure after many efforts , and i'm a cs student smile.gif) .
Is my question so naive .I think needle has big potential of getting even more scars .
I imagine just puncture the needle in the surface ,not too deep ,every angle .But how deep then ?....
Help ....

Just to be clear ...,i found out the procedure as quoted there :

Try to pull down tight on the area of the scar that your working on, and puncture
the skin at a normal pace. DO NOT USE THE JACKHAMMERING METHOD.
Where you are going really fast with the needle, just keep it at a normal pace
and you will be fine. Remember do not try and GO DEEP, just use your judgement
and just puncture it normally, you may end up hearing popping sounds. That’s
just the scar tissue breaking up, which is a good thing. We want that too happen.
So your skin can rebuild itself. That’s why other expensive methods don’t work,
Because it’s not breaking the scar tissue at all. Which I think is very important.

Don't get lancets confused with needles. I do not use a lancet (i am
talking about the blade shaped lancets) this
would probably result in further scarring.

I use diabetic needles and insert the needle at the borders of the scar
and then angle the needle underneeth the scar and then
move the needle as if you were trying to cut the fibros tissue.
I do this from all angles and as many times as
i can until i can't make out the scar anymore (they swell up).

And Still not be sure.

Thats exactly what I do, I have tested doing this on 3 scars, and its been about a month, there IS a change, 2 scars are shallower, one has gone.

Umm NOO whyme. Have you done Any research???

Those youtube vids are needling using a tattoo gun, with no ink.

It a different technique altogether.

I use a single diabetic needle, and stab the edges of the scar, I poke the bottom of the scar, go diagonal and in all directions, to break up scar tissue SLOWLY. It makes a tiny blood spot, and I apply CP serum to aid healing.

With a tattoo gun, theres bleeding, and I imagine a long recovery period. The method of using a tattoo gun is how needling came to be... A plastic surgeon was tattooing a facelift scar with skin color, and he noted the scar had filled in, the tattooing had the effect of collagen induction therapy. CIT.

Some tattoo places or permanant make up people do this. Infact DONT allow a regular tattooist to do this, the tattoo guns are different. Permanent tattoo guns pierce the skin, inject colour and twist. The semi permanant guns dont twist, and thats why its not as painful as getting an ink tattoo.

So the dermaroller was born from this accidental healing of a scar, the dermaroller is great because its less invasive, and can be used at home, or VERY cheaply, by cosmetic surgeons.

It is the same theory, but repeated more times to see results.. The roller allows a large area to be treated quickly.

Some people have chosen to try the tattoo gun method of scar removal...I havent, but I have heard and read the story of how and why CIT therapy began.

There you go- now google it...google is YOUR FRIEND smile.gif

Learn all you can before you do ANY treatment, its your face, and once its a mess, its hard to fix.

Is there any video or tutorial on how to do this? I am afraid i might do it wrongly and worsen the scars...

I would really love to try this.

Sorry .I do quite a lot of research but 1. english is not my first language . and 2.I understand nearly 100% but i am quite anal ;after searching google and coulnd't find any video abt needling .I still cannot be sure to take the wordly description in the forum to do needling .

I have done dermaroller .It's simple since we have the tuts on youtube....After more searching ,i found out that needling is not the same as dermaroller ,but there is a fact that some people worsens their scars by doing this .That's why i'm afraid.

But in This link : http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Needling-...l&hl=plumpy .

Thanks for any replys .smile.gif

Pinki Use vasloine on your face at your own risk...it makes me break out just LOOKING at it. There are alot of products that stimulate collagen growth, like copper peptides. Or a pure vit e oil, a vit C serum.. terpoline (i have never tried )

Whyme Plumpy seems to have answered alot of questions in his/her posts _ cant comment on using tattoo needles, I have never tried it. As I said I use diabetic pen needles. Tiny ones from a chemist /drugstore. I guess its all the same principle, creating damage to encourage more collagen production.
Sorry didnt realise you struggle with english. The tiny needles I use, couldnt possibly create damage, but ive heard of some people using pins and sweing needles...that can NEVER be a good thing. Have you done any research about products to use after you do this?

goodluck and feel free to pm me if you need to.

Hi adella ,

Have been Read your posts on dermarolling topic of thelegend, really like the tone in your posts biggrin.gif .

I have done dermarolling once 3 weeks ago .So far i love how it works . I follow quite exactly what lamarr suggested in his topic : led +terproline +skinceutical c serum 20 + hakubi gel c(this product have high raves for scars/freckles in where i live now ) +retin_a + vitamin c internally +several minor things that i think might help...SO i trying my best ,really don't want to waste time anymore....

I think needling procedures should be my very last questions already .

So these are the facts that i still wonder :

1.As i have written , in my teenager period, i treat acnes by using a needle to get the inner parts of acne out ( actually i don't know what it is called in english ) . I have blamed this as the cause of my scar for quite a long time .THIS IS MY I'M AFRAID NEEDLING .

2.Well , but i have some deep scars that i want to treat ,and i heard needling may help for this kind of scar ....but there are reports from some users that it can worsen scars,right...

So that is the background ...My questions are:

1.You wrote "I use a single diabetic needle, and stab the edges of the scar, I poke the bottom of the scar, go diagonal and in all directions, to break up scar tissue SLOWLY. It makes a tiny blood spot, and I apply CP serum to aid healing." .I could imagine how this is done...But how could i make sure that i will not do anything to make my scar worse ?

Hmm ,"poke the bottom of the scar" => it is like making/has big potential to the scar deeper ...just llike your are trying to dig a hole...make it deeper, no ? ...biggrin.gif.

I still dont see any differences between your description and the video on youtube .And this video is called "SKIN NEEDLES COLAGENO INDUCCION REGENERACION ARRUGAS " and "needle wrinkle anti-aging effect " ,which i think is needling .So it's not...?

Well , we dont have the tuts abt needling like dermaroller .I think needling is more sophisticated than dermaroller ,right?
...

2.I read this sentence when i search abt needling : " i have to change the needle for each scar ".What is the case that the user have to change the needle.

Long post ...Thank for any explanations...And sorry for my possibly confusing post (hope it's clear enough )

Ok whyme, I can only advise on what IM doing and how its working FOR ME, and if it benefits you if you think it makes sense, then give it a go smile.gif

The needles I use are so tiny you can barely see it. I know that personally I cannot create damage with this minute needle. I am doing an experiment on a few scars near my nose, and so far they are healing with this method. Im using the SkinBiololgy cp skin remodelling therory to help re build healthy skin.

Sounds like you HAVE dont your research- munsoned and lammar are the dermarolling experts eusa_dance.gif

You used needles to pop zits, and as a result you body healed really fast, and formed a scar. Alot like mine...I believe that you need to REMOVE the scar tissue, or break it up with dermaroller or needle, creating a new wound that heals from the INSIDE OUT, instead of in a pit. This process takes time and patience.

The scrs I have treated are certainly not worse, they are shallower, I will needle them again in about 2 weeks and use CP to aid healing. I stress I use TINY needles that diabetics use in insulin pens. I have a diabetic friend who gave me one- and I went and bought a box from the chemist they were cheap.

Needling is more precise than a dermaroller, it is time consuming. You are not watsing time- healing scars TAKES TIME, and sometimes it feels like 1 step forward, and 2 back...but seeing results is the prize for all the effort and paper bag days.. eusa_whistle.gif

Sounds like you have some great products and supplements happening- goodluck
