I read on this webstie that nuts are a good choice to have in order to improve your acne. However, I have read in other places that it is bad for your acne and can casue breakouts. Does anyone have any further information on this? I am interested in finding out the truth.

i think it would depend on the nut. Some liek almonds, contain zinc which is anti inflamitory and good for acne, others could provoke an inflammatory response/cause acne. Try googling anti inflammatory foods and see which nuts come up...those should either be good for your skin or at least not trigger breakouts

I eat a cup or more of peanuts everyday, sometimes walnuts and/or almonds. It really doesnt effect my acne or make it better. Some people are allergic to peanuts thou or other certain nuts, but most are not. Some will say don't eat to much because it will give you to much omega 6 instead of omega 3, but that really never made a diff in my acne. Everyone is diff thou, so go ahead and try them;)

peanuts are not nuts. they are legumes and contain or cause (i forget which) hormones in the body. but usually people with acne stay away from peanuts because they seem to believe that peanuts induce acne. i personally stay away from peanuts and peanut butter and i when i do eat it i usually break out.
