Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone has tried the beam from ansr (ansr.com i think). It's very expensive ($150-200), but it seems like it works. But proactive 'seemed' like it worked too, so i'm skeptical. It uses a red/blue light, but it is very small and you make direct contact w/ your skin. Anyone tried it? I've tried basically everything over the counter (plus proactive, acnefree, and retin-a) and right now i'm giving dead sea minerals a shot, but i just want to keep my options open in case this doesn't work out.

I have heard of ANSR but have been using something similar called Tanda. Bought it at Sephora 6 weeks ago. I have both the blue and red light heads. The blue is supposed to kill P. Acne bacteria while the red head is supposed to help reduce inflammation and promote collagen production. I bought the system as I was frustrated with all the topical and did not want to be on antibiotics long term. I immediate used the tanda on a nasty cyst and the swelling went down right away and it was gone in 3 days. In the first 3 weeks of using Tanda, I still got 2-3 zits a week but they all healed rather quickly. My derm also prescribed BenZac AC 10% topical so I've been using that every night. In addition, I started to take Zinc (50mg) supplements daily and a multivitamin. I'm happy to report that I've been acne free for 3 weeks now. I still have a few whiteheads on my forehead (5-8) but the rest of my skin looks great and I've never had skin this clear before without the use of antibiotics. I think the combination of all three (Tanda, Benzac AC, and Zinc) is really working well!!
Tanda is definately worth a try. Sephora has a great return policy, give it try for a few months and if it dosen't work you can take it back.

I just got the beam last friday and have been using it for the past four days. I have been using it in the morning and night. I have moderately severe acne and have been struggling with it for the past year or so. The first product I tried was Benzaclin. Which was perscribed to me by my doctor. This product caused my skin to peel. I later visited the dermatologist who said that this happened because I have very sensitive skin. She started me on doxycycline, differin 0.1%, and benzoyl peroxide 5%. I went back to the dermatologist 2 months later and she added clindamycin to my treatment, increased my doxycycline dosage, and recommended blue light. The problem with the blue light treatments are that they are pretty expensive so I decided to buy the ansr beam. So far i have seen little to no improvement but hopefully in a week or so I will. I will keep posting!

I am inclined to buy one and try it myself. I heard it is pretty effective to treat acne. I come across this post that actually took a step further to validate ansr beam and conclude it is not scam. It could be useful for the one who has doubt about this product. good luck!

Didnt work AT ALLLLLLLL for me. I suffer/suffered from cystic acne, folliculitis thanks to antibiotics, and eczema caused by harsh chemicals drying my face.
I've tried 35+ prescriptions (BP face wash, Benzaclin, Benzamycin, Tazorac, Retin-A, Duac, Ovace, Epiduo, Proactiv, Acne Free, microdermabrasion, facials, Yaz, Loestrin, Ocella, Minocin, Doxyclin/Docyclin, laser treatment, blue light treatment, cortisone shots in my pimples, etc - you name it, I've tried it. Minocin will cause folliculitis btw, which inflames every pore and fills them with pus. Talk about depression. Your derm won't tell you about that though.) Now am seeing a chinese herbal specialist. The herbs they prescribe have been the ONLY thing which worked and they push out the "bad stuff" and then you see the the acne dry (for me) in as little as a week.
What has worked best for me:
chinese herbs (and no, I'm not directly Chinese) taken twice a day
zinc tablet each day
neem tablet
M2 SKincare 20% mandelic acid serum morning and night
Face wash - M2 Mandelic acid cleanser
I hear Saw Palmetto works wonders too to regulate hormones and clear skin.
