Hello, I'm "Dictionary".

I'm __ Years old, and have decided to start a log to help myself see how I am doing.
I have mild acne, but after a while I have finally had enough. I eventually got the confidence to talk to my parents about my acne and i decided i wanted to go the doctors.

So, i was first of all prescribed Zineryt, and after 8 weeks there was little improvement. So i went back to the doctors and i have now been given Oxytetracycline Tablets (250mg).

I will be taking 2 tablets twice a day, and have enough for 8 weeks.
This is the whole course, from day one.

I would be happy to add any information if anybody is interested. And ill hope to update daily.

I do have alot of swimming training. So if this is linked?

Would love to hear any experiences with Oxytetracycline. and any advice.

Thanks wink.gif

Day 2:

Sorry i didn't post yesterday, but it would have looked like this wink.gif

So i think the antibiotics are starting to work, and show improvement already, right side of my face is looking much better.
No new additions to my face!

Day 3:

Looking even better, forehead is pretty much clear now, it wasn't that bad anyway to begin with though. Starting to cut out milk and drink more water, see if that helps.

Day 4:

Not really any improvement but got a whitehead near my lip sad.gif
It's starting to fade away now though, so all good in a way.

School in about 3 days so hopefully a bit of improvement before then.

Day 5:

Hello everyone,

Left side of my face looks like it's starting to clear nicely smile.gif, and i just have red marks on right cheek,
(any ways to improve the time they take to fade?).

Have a nice red pimple on my chin, got some cream to help that go quickly.

Feel free to post anyone tongue.gif

Day 6:

Ok so almost a week gone by,
And personally i think these tablets are working,

My doctor said you will see improvements in a month. I'm seeing them in 6 days.
Fingers crossed it keeps going like this.

I used to swim too; I quit about 1 1/2 years ago though. I'm pretty sure swimming doesn't do your skin too much good...... eusa_snooty.gif

You say that you noticed improvements after a few days. This to me sounds very unlikely as Antibiotics are usually long-term in terms of improvements. They started working for me after maybe a month. I ran out of them about a week ago and my skin is slightly worse atm, not sure if it's because I ran out or not...I'm getting more next week so we'll see.
