I've been on a diet for 2 1/2 weeks and have lost 10.5 lbs in the first two weeks, I only weigh myself every monday so I'm not sure exactly how much I've lost.

However, I've never had acne... I've had a few pimples here and there, white heads mainly.. usually on my face or around my chest, because I live in florida and it's very humid... alllllll the time, even at night, even in the winter at night. lol. Plus I have a large chest size, so they don't help much lol.

Since I've started this intence-ish weight loss program, I have had a lot of whiteheads along my back from the top of my shoulder &+ shoulder blade, across to the other side.. and a little down the small of my back.

I'm wondering if;
1. Anyone knows if this is connected with the ammount of weight-loss (because with weight loss, comes sweat).
2. If anybody knows the best/a good way to get rid, or atleast subside the ammount of whiteheads.

They don't really hurt, as I've read a lot of times certain types do. I dont know the technical terms for different kinds of acne, and I don't even know any of the other kinds. My brother had baaaaad acne in his high-school days but I wasn't here for that and he isn't here now to tell me what to do lol.

Sooooooo.. if anybody has some good ideas, or would like to share their storys, or even give me information, I'm alllll ears. :]

Thanks guys!! biggrin.gif

Body fat does affect hormones. Hormones get stored in fat so weightloss could be releasing them. And enzymes that convert hormones are made in fat cells.

It could also be what you are or aren't eating. And it could be stress if that's involved.

Do you take vitamins? If you're drastically reducing your calories and not getting enough nutrients, that could be causing your acne. Maybe eat a bit more healthy food (lean protein and vegetables) and take a multivitamin, at the very least.

Alternitavista is right. When you're losing weight, toxins and hormones are being released from the fat you're burning.

Sweat does not cause acne. The sweat gland and the oil gland are not the same thing, and sweat does not clog pores.

Make sure that you are eating-
Low amounts of sugars (even in fruits)
A low GI diet (google a glycemic index food chart)
NO artificial sweeteners (consider Stevia instead)

Basically you want to shoot for a diet that is mostly vegetables and meats. Limit your dairy intake, although yogurt is good in moderation. Avoid trans/hydrogenated fats, and increase your intake of olive/coconut oils.
